So I still get “email not verified” error in Liftoff and I’m unable to log in in Jerboa or wefwef. Are all the new users supposed to not access lemmy.world on smartphones? I even tried to sub communities here with an account from another instance, but Liftoff just won’t let me for some reason so I gave up.
tl;dr: This concerns the account I’m writing this from. I logged in on my PC (Windows 10, Vivaldi browser) with “Password reset” a few days ago and I stay logged in, but I cannot log in through apps or on mobile, Liftoff says my email is not verified....
I’m fairly new here and I’d like to use it more, but, there are a variety of general categories of communities that I’d like to never see. So instead of blocking them 1 by 1 as they pop up I’d like to have the ability to say “Block all communities that are sports related” for instance....
I banned someone from a community I made for breaking a rule and being excessively rude, then they DM’d me and after a report their account got banned and I think that they might’ve made an alternative account and have been downvoting/disliking all of my posts. What can I do to stop/fix this, is there a way for me to see...
In the past two weeks, the site has been very unstable, sometimes for one second a page would load and the next it wouldn’t load at all. The status of lemmy.world would fluctuate a lot on lemmy-status.org, and there have times where the site has been down for hours.
It’d be nice if the admins got everyone’s input on these sorts of things. Admins making decisions without thought to our opinions is what drove us here from reddit. I’m not going to lose sleep over hexbear defederation in particular, but it’s a disconcerting precedent....
Hey everyone! I just had something rather weird and concerning happen. While browsing Lemmy through the default web interface, I clicked on a post link and got the usual server error. I refreshed the page and got the same thing. Then, I refreshed a second time and while the post loaded, I was a bit perplexed as my Lemmy theme...
EDIT: As noted in the linked post, the defederation was a mistake and has been reversed. Thank you to the lemmy.world admins for reviewing this quickly....
Hi all, I'm from kbin. One of your users, Agareth, told me to go hang myself earlier today. I checked their user history and there's hate speech there, they called some the 3-letter f-word. Just fyi....
So I just came across a community being used to solicit fake Amazon reviews. But I don’t see a way to report this to the admins. Since the user in question moderates the community they are posting spam to, it seems like the report button will just go to them?...
Hi, can’t report because they banned me for calling out their antisemitism. Y’all need to have a look and see if that’s the kind of shit you want on lemmy.world.
Hi there. The community !linuxmemes seems to be unmoderated. The only registered moderator @Linuxmemed has been inactive since ~2 months. I’d like to be added as a mod to weed out blatantly racist and other unacceptable content like this: Lol! So true..I’ve been a regular in r/linuxmemes, have switched to lemmy, and would...
