Imgur doesn’t seem to integrate well into the Lemmy architecture, what’s the current “best practice” for posting GIFs and/or small mp4s like we used to have on v.reddit.com that looks good and plays well with expandos, etc.?

Like, if I don’t tag a post as NSFW does it still show up for people who don’t want to see NSFW? Again, I’m only asking if this is necessary in NSFW communities. I know that I have to tag NSFW content in regular communities. But if I post in a community marked NSFW does it automatically mark the post as such or do I have...

I have just tried to change my user avatar from my browser and no matter what image format I try to use be it png or jpg it quickly flashes up some json error. I cannot even change it from the Android app.

The creator has been inactive for two months, and was apparently online only for a day total. @norte created the account on June 12th, 2023 - then the community at the same day, then one single comment the same day, and since then - nothing....

Since lemmy.fmhy.ml and lemmy.fmhy.net is no longer online. I would like to suggest lemmy.world and other instances to delete any communities and posts from these two instances that are cached....

When I go to view an individual community the newest posts are not always showing. Some communities look like they have no posts, even though I know that they do. Example: lemmy.world/c/autismWhen I view the link I only see posts that are from August 5th or older. When viewing all on the instance, newer posts will appear though....

I’ll see a post where the comment count says something like 10 but then when I open the comments there are only four comments there

The browser tab is blank, and unless I’m doing something wrong there is no Favicon set for Lemmy.World. I would hazard a guess that most of us have lots and lots of tabs open at any given time. Would it be possible to add an icon to help make it easier to locate lemmy.world tabs?

When I attempt to upload images to lemmy.world via the desktop web UI, I get the following error message:...

I’d like to request to be made a moderator of the !geocaching community. The only mod there, @postman, hasn’t had any activity in the last 3 months. I tried conctacting them, and haven’t received a response....

Every time I upload a photo I get a syntax error message. I can continue and make the post but no photo is available and then when I click on the post it just links back to itself. This has been happening 2-3 days now. Yesterday it also seemed to be affecting photos I have uploaded within the past 10 days. The photos would just...

I’ve noticed very recently (last two days or so) that when I get a direct link to a specific comment, it won’t load anything under certain circumstances....

Made a post in a fairly niche community a few days back, it got 6 replies, only 4 of which I can actually see. Is this some sort of federation issue or something else? Its been showing 6 replies for a couple of days at least now, so if that was it I would have thought the last 2 would have come through by now...

Terrible title aside, yeah, whats up with posts scheduled for later dates? Is this a feature or something? Nothing accusatory, just curious if this is a problem.
