So I’ve run mods on a bunch of different games which were downloaded and installed with the deck alone. No man’s sky, lethal company, Subnautica, etc. with generally no problems but some modding software run through wine had visual bugs but the games worked as intended....

You can play halo infinite VERY competitively with joysticks and gyro too, it feels made for steamdeck controls especially with the heavy focus on (absolutely amazing) vehicle combat....

I completely understand why Valve decided that the touchpad haptics were good enough, the deck is heavy as it is already. I’d still love to have the option of adding some proper rumble on the deck for the games that deserve it.

I’m playing Station to Station, Cyberpunk, and Miles Morales currently. I’ve noticed when I stream from my main rig to the Deck the colors are drastically different from both what the game looks like natively on the SD and my rig’s own monitor. Also one of the biggest issues with the normal version was the touchscreen pulling rate. 180hz on the OLED feel SO good.
