all-knight-party, in I finally got to finishing the Titanfall 2 Campaign
@all-knight-party@kbin.run avatar

I really enjoyed the PvE Frontier Defense mode too after the campaign. Played that for a long while

I played Frontier Defence obsessively for years and maxed out all of the titans (which really enhances the experience). A fully unlocked Scorch is such a beast!

It’s still possible to play on console but hard to get games near me (Australia). Luckily it’s quite playable on more active European or North American servers.

Rozz, in I finally got to finishing the Titanfall 2 Campaign

Titanfall was always a game I wanted to have a better and longer single player. It’s one of the few games I actually played a little bit of multiplayer for because I lived the concept so much.

the16bitgamer,

I played a lot of Titanfall 1 back when it was new, my first school Gaming PC was designed to run Titanfall at max settings.

Contramuffin, in Those of you who played Ōkami - how did you deal with Blockhead in Kamui?

It’s been a while since I played Okami, I think I just kept trying till I eventually got it.

Ironically, it was the fishing that got me to give up my completionist run. Couldn’t get one fish that supposedly was common. Spent at least 4 hours constantly fishing before I gave up

SSUPII, in What are you playing this week?

Playing Canis Canem Edit for the first time. To be honest, I had very high expectations and they didn’t really get fulfilled.

dirtySourdough,

Oof, that’s rough. Is that the one known as Bully elsewhere? What hasn’t been to your liking?

SSUPII,

Yup, that name is for PAL releases only.

I thought it would have been a much more in dept experience, instead I find character interactions very simplistics. I expected for interaction to have actually a bigger impact, when its honestly pretty meaningless especially with my character only knowing a few sentences outside of cutscenes.

Missions or tasks honestly feel more like chores thogheter with the lessons, that I feel like leave you with little time for missions. I completed chemistry and english, and feel like I can finally breath somewhat before completing art and sports. I hate how running from dorm to class you still end up having to dodge the principals because apparently you are late and are wanted for “unjustified absence”.

I honestly also don’t really like my character too. It is prothraied for his real dislike of being pushed around, yet it almost feels like he kneels to the feet of Gary Smith like its really nothing for how trusting he acts. But I am still at the start, and with how Gary acts I feel like this dude is 99.9% going to betray me.

EveryMuffinIsNowEncrypted, in I’m playing Metroid Prime 2 and am a little stressed about the ammo. Would using an infinite ammo cheat ruin the game?

You will get ammo upgrades. Just explore when/as you can. That is how you get upgrades in metroidvania games. Explore, get new things, use new things to explore more, get more new things, rinse & repeat.

M500,

Thanks! I’ll move forward without cheats.

mojo, in I’m playing Metroid Prime 2 and am a little stressed about the ammo. Would using an infinite ammo cheat ruin the game?

This literally only matters to you. If you enable that cheat and beat the game, and it doesn’t bother you, then go for it. I know it would eat away at me so that’s why I wouldn’t do it.

aMockTie, in I’m playing Metroid Prime 2 and am a little stressed about the ammo. Would using an infinite ammo cheat ruin the game?

I feel like the ammo aspect is a big part of what makes the game challenging. Like others have said, you can always get more ammo by using the opposite beam (i.e. killing enemies with the light beam gives dark beam ammo and vice versa), and you can also use the charge beam for a free shot even with 0 ammo.

All of that put together can lead to some of the most exciting boss battles where you’re out or almost out of ammo but still have a chance to get the final blow in before they do. Infinite ammo wouldn’t necessarily ruin the game overall in my opinion, exploring would still be fun and exciting. But it would certainly rob you of those exciting moments.

M500,

Thanks, this is what I was worried about. Will there be exciting moments around ammo. If it was something that just added a grind to the game, then I would not mind using cheats.

This is what I was hoping to hear about the game. I will forego the cheats.

M500,

Thanks, I did not know that you could still charge shot while at 0 ammo. This makes a big difference for me. Part of the stress was worrying about having ammo to solve a puzzle.

flameguy21, in I’m playing Metroid Prime 2 and am a little stressed about the ammo. Would using an infinite ammo cheat ruin the game?

It sounds stressful but it really isn’t. Just destroy random crates/dark plant things with the dark/light beam and you’ll have basically all the ammo you need.

M500,

Thanks! I figured it was a Nintendo game, so it would be pretty forgiving.

I’ll hold out on cheats unless I have an issue down the line.

PenguinTD,

Metroid’s signature feature, basically any enemy/breakable gives you something once you gain more type that needs ammo stock.

M500,

That’s true. It doesn’t seem that I need to worry about ammo so much. I’ll play the game without the cheats.

maniclucky, in I’m playing Metroid Prime 2 and am a little stressed about the ammo. Would using an infinite ammo cheat ruin the game?

Very personal. I personally find it less satisfying when I do use those. But I’ll also call a spectre in Lies of P for most boss fights because I don’t want to run this 50 times (I do try it solo a few times before I do that).

Honestly, try it for an hour or two and see if it makes it more or less fun.

M500,

I typically try to avoid cheats in games, but I don’t mind it when the designers made an unpopular choice that generally makes the games less enjoyable.

Based on another comment, I decided not to use cheats for this.

korewa, in I’m playing Metroid Prime 2 and am a little stressed about the ammo. Would using an infinite ammo cheat ruin the game?

Play like you want I cheat in games because I can only play for 30 minutes or an hour a week

korewa,

I also play to decompress

LetterboxPancake, in I’m playing Metroid Prime 2 and am a little stressed about the ammo. Would using an infinite ammo cheat ruin the game?

That doesn’t sound too patient

lupec, in What are you playing this week?

Been playing LunarLux, delightful little game. It’s like the people behind it were like “What if we take the Mega Man Battle Network aesthetics, general vibes and battle system but have combat be turn based and get the player to dodge attacks like in Undertale sometimes?”

I have tons of nostalgia for the MMBN games so this doesn’t come from an unbiased place but man, they’ve nailed the sheer Saturday morning cartoon energy the originals had down to a T. The scale is a lot smaller but I can’t wait to see what the studio comes up with next if they decide to follow up on this!
