As far as roguelites go, no. There’s even an option you can toggle on to make it easier every run if you’re not there to git gud.

Incredibile Crisis, on PS1.

Admittedly the story is a bit thin… the game play is purposefully enraging… but it gets a big ol’double check mark on the OST requirement thanks to the Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra.

On a totally different note and tone, Last of Us. I dig anything Gustavo Santaolalla.

Actually the story seems pretty charming tho. The graphics feels a bit too dated to me, but atleast the OST is up on YT, and damn the main menu OST is already a banger.

I would not recommend it. KH1 and 2 are absolute classics and are a pretty self-contained story if you don’t feel like committing to the whole series.

yah, play story mode on your first playthrough and that will avoid all the issues that reviewers encountered at game launch.

I agree it is traumatizing but definitely worth experiencing, and maybe most true to world of witcher.

I agree, but after playing through the trilogy and wrapping up the third with 100+ hrs, it hit hard. I wish I could have experienced a good ending first. Who knows though? Maybe I’ll look back and be glad for it. It was a masterpiece of story telling and like you said, probably the most realistic ending.

My first play through I got the same ending, but I didn’t take as bad ending. I thought it was a cliffhanger for a DLC or another game.

Yep. My understanding is you just take every supportive dialog option when talking to Ciri and that’s how you get the good ending.

The secret is: You can still play the game in a harder difficulty even if there isn’t a tiny jpg you get on your profile for doing it.
