This, but unironically. Turns out if you’re in a stressful situation, having a great way to relieve stress without having to feel ashamed afterwards is really great for morale.
They kinda think that the socially disadvantaged (as in “depressive district”, or as in “gopnik”) layer of the general Russian population pays attention to such statements and believes them, cause for that layer being gay is very bad, prison caste system and all that.
However, even that layer of the general population is 97% not that dumb. And those who are sufficiently dumb do not pay attention.
