Fediverse uptime badge

I’ve wanted a badge that shows the instance uptime and couldn’t find any, so I created one. It’s available at uptime.lemmings.world/{your-domain}.svg and gets its data from fediverse.observer.

Examples:

The documentation is available at uptime.lemmings.world. Feel free to use it for your instance if you wish to.

Indeed. I saw someone mention it on Lemmy and figured I’d check it out. Then I saw registrations were free for the first 250 users and immediately signed up.

You appear to be an ethical businessman, as I see it. Rare enough these days, but also much needed.

Thank you for your kind words. I just hope need (a lot) more people to understand that we will only be able to get rid of Big Tech and Surveillance Capitalism in social media if we support independent, small service providers.

    What’s the time window?

    Like, is this uptime over the past 30d? Over the past year? For all time?

    IMO, 30d and 365d are the most useful windows.

    All time. I haven’t checked how to get other data from Fediverse.observer yet, their graphs show data from different points in time, but their api only has documentation for the field uptime_alltime (which I’m using).
