Within the first hour of threads going live, about a dozen of those im following on ig have joined (and began posting). When it’s fully federated, could this be the entry level platform the fediverse needs to push it into average use? Found this post super informative as it relates to Mastodon, and thought Lemmy might also benefit from this perspective. I’m not sure I share his optimism, but his points seem sound to dampen some of the alarm bells over Meta joining the Fediverse.

There are many lemmy instances in the world, but currently most people are using lemmy.world. This is why everything has gotten so slow....
I made this based on the gripe about some of the silent failures with federation. Might help users choose other servers. Might help admins troubleshoot. Open to comments and criticisms!
