Hi friends!...
Have you played any single player board games that you would recommend?...
In order to promote discussion on Lemmy, I’m doing micro-reviews for my favorite boardgames by genre. Please join in, provide your reviews, flame me for my terrible taste or to suggest a category for tomorrow!...

I do a lot of Roleplaying and need some games for in-between and “gambling” for the others I play with. I don’t want my players to learn a long and massive game. Something that feels a bit medieval and uses dice of 55/32 card decks would be perfect. Like Gwent or Zombie dice. Maybe where you can cheat?
I’ll recieve some used games I bought: Ora et Labora, Stronghold 2nd, Hanamikoji and Macao....
A place to get recommendations for your next game....
Game of the year 2023...
Any tips, recommendations, warnings or cool sessions you played last week?
Anymore besides the one mentioned in the article? I think BGA is probably the best know one
I swear I’m smart and have pretty ok reading comprehension…but when I pick up a new game I have the hardest time understanding the rules and mechanics by just reading the instructions. Watching videos is helpful but I still really only pick it up while playing the game and going through the motions....
Guess which ones were the impulse buys
For the longest time I’ve been using ScorePal. This app is amazing....
The Expert: You buy board games as often and as many as you can. You play them alone or with friends. It‘s your favorite hobby....
Sure, the best way to learn is someone explaining the game to you live, but thats not always available....
I haven’t been able to post review in the last fiew days, life got in the way. Hopefully this week goes better!...
And with what player count?...

Like the title says :) I’ll mostly play with people who usually don’t play, so easy games please!...
I used to love playing Pandemic, but now that we actually lived through one, none of my friends want to play it anymore, myself included. I’m really looking forward to Daybreak to hopefully reattain the vibes of the original while still being fresh....
So, honestly not sure if something like this exists....
dpunked seems to be sleeping in… So, what did you folks play last week?
I always see pictures of people’s collections with boxes stored vertically on their edge. Looks nice, but when I do this the pieces inside tend to get jumbled around....
