sneezycat, in Little plothole that bugs me out

Honestly, we shouldn’t have access to resurrection scrolls, since resurrection magic in dnd is considered high level stuff.

Buuuut that would make people have to savescum more, so it’s understandable they let us res people :'D

WeThePilgrims, in There isn't a hidden time limit, is there?

There are, bit pissed about it tbh. The over arching feedback on ‘time’ is to take a long rest whenever you feel the need but also that you need to take them to progress the main story; so long rests are fundamental to the game.

This is great, except at least one quest does have a timer and no, I didn’t read/see/hear any warning about this.

I’m fine with some quests actually having a timer, just mark them red in the journal or something

towerful, in Baldur's Gate 3 narrator's outtakes are gloriously unhinged

Amelia Tyler did an awesome job on the BG3 narration.
I can’t wait to see what she will work on next.

TBH, the VA in BG3 has been exceptional overall. I don’t think I’ve encountered anything that hasn’t hooked/sold me on the part!

I found this scroll that let my wizard learn this spell. It's a Ritual spell. The summoned familiar is an NPC.

Anyone else find this scroll. I was testing uploading an image from kbin to this lemmy community. And it worked.

Anafroj, in All Baldur’s Gate 3 ritual spells list

As a long time 5e DM, I’m amazed by how many times BG3 can slap me in the face with totally wrong rules implementations and I still love it.

Hairyblue, in All Baldur’s Gate 3 ritual spells list
@Hairyblue@kbin.social avatar

Here’s a full list of BG3 ritual spells:

Detect Thoughts (Wizard)
Disguise Self (Cleric, Wizard)
Enhanced Leap (Druid, Wizard)
Feather Fall (Wizard)
Find Familiar (Wizard)
Longstrider (Druid, Wizard)
Silence (Cleric)
Speak with Animals (Druid)
Speak with Dead (Cleric)

I play a wizard and can cast any ritual spell I know out of combat without using up a spell cast slot. Even though the spell will list the cost as spell slot 1 or 2, it will cast without using the slot.

Out of combat, you just have to add the ritual spell to prepared spells, cast it then remove it and add another type of spell.

Other classes can add ritual spells as a perk at level 4.

(I made level 4 last night and looked into it when I saw the Ritual Spells perk. Wizards will not need to take this perk. They only need to learn/have ritual spells in their spell books.)

Wait, you’re done already with creating a character ?

Anyone here liking it? I haven’t played.

WhosMansIsThis, in Baldur’s Gate 3’s Metacritic Score Now Tops ‘Tears Of The Kingdom’

80 hours in, still not out of the starter area. 10/10.

Poggervania, in Baldur’s Gate 3 Reignites Age-Old Save Scumming Debate - IGN
@Poggervania@kbin.social avatar

Bigger question is who gives a crap?

It’s a single-player game, let people enjoy things the way they want to. I personally don’t save-scum the skill and ability checks, but I will save-scum on a tough fight if I’m in a losing position - and I ain’t gonna knock on people who do and don’t do that in a single-player game.

For multi-player, I would discourage it since dealing with your friend’s fuckups is like, half the fun of a tabletop session.

Volkditty, in I was kinda hoping it'd take Baldur's Gate 3 longer to ruin my life

I have fallen into the same trap that I always do with this type of game, and which I begged myself not to this time, to no avail: Roll a character, be having a good time. Suddenly think, "I wonder if there's another way to solve this area if my character were any good at stealth..." Roll another character, replay the same 8-10 hours of the game. Think to myself, "that was interesting, but how would that play out if I took the bad guy path? Or if I was a magic user? Or if I had a mustache?" Replay the same 8-10 hours of the game, ad nauseam.

And this is even after the 100 hrs I sank in Early Access.

rafadavidc, in I was kinda hoping it'd take Baldur's Gate 3 longer to ruin my life

I haven’t been this excited to have a game ruin my life since I took 11/11/11 off of work. Unbelievable that that was A DOZEN years ago, jesus.

sunbunman, in [SPOILER] How did you handle the fight at the end of Act 1?

I killed all the druegar (a lot of yeeting into oblivion) before fighting nere.

I read in a review that there is talk all the time about getting cured of your problem quickly, there really is no time limit and you can enjoy and explore the game until you finally get a cure.
