I’m looking for suggestions to play on my upcoming PC upgrade, since I feel the only “impressive new games” are medieval with no fantasy or military/modern shooters—nothing wrong with those, this just makes me feel like there aren’t many games of my taste after all....
I’m not saying you’re wrong (frankly, I’m on your side), but the majority of the general population, i.e. windows users, would take it as such. This is more to do with the failure of the various education systems more so than anything else.
my biggest issue was the bullet sponging and totally unbalanced combat, youd either be a god that couldnt die or someone who has to land 50 headshots with a sniper rifle to kill someone
For most of act 1, fights felt reasonably difficult. There were only a few points where I had a tpk. However, between early access and now, that last fight felt like a sharp spike in difficulty....
It used to be an old CCG called Alteil, probably have 1k+ hours on that. After playing bg3 this week, defs bg3, but I do have a habit of wafting around a bunch of crpgs.
I 100% agree. Other countries need to look at loot boxes, gacha systems, randomised loot tables impacted by IRL currencies (including premium currency), etc as gambling and enforce it as such. So many people have lost so much because of the lack of regulation on this.
My friend and I collect old video games. But all my physical media just sits on my shelves and collects dust. Why do I even collect them? I literally just emulate everything. Is there a purpose to what I do? People ask me why I collect and I never have a real answer because I don’t even know. If I never play my stuff, is it...
Look mate. Sometimes we do things just because we want to or just because we can. I feel like in the world we currently live in, everything has become a struggle to squeeze out every last drop of our life to generate money, reputation, fame or whatever else.
It’s ok to just have something you do that’s just sits there and it makes you happy or relaxed or even if you just look at it and not have to worry about anything else.
Are they too dumb to uncheck the “show NSFW” button in settings? It was the same in Reddit idk. Can’t do much about Communism, but at least the Lenin porn is blocked.
Definitely my favourite one so far! Though I will still be experimenting with newer ones when they come out.
A couple features I’d like to see implemented:
Setting a base instance/account and having links open through that instance. I understand this will put increased pressure on the base instance but from a user perspective this is a massive qol update.
Finding a way to upload videos or converting small videos to gifs before uploading without having to go into a third party source or implementing third party connectivity for this purpose. This is probably out of scope for what the app is trying to achieve, but would be a great addition for content creation on Lemmy in general.
3D action/adventure games with fantastical settings?

[SPOILER] How did you handle the fight at the end of Act 1?
