How do I search kbin to find communities on Lemmy instances? For the life of me, all I can find are the local kbin magazines. They're great, but I'm newer here and already started participating in communities on beehaw and other instances. I'd like to be able to keep up with those communities too.
Honestly, the redundancy is looking like it's going to be a problem. There's a technology community of some sort on every instance for example. solarpunk, futurology etc.
Anyway, if someone knows the magic syntax where I can find and subscribe to these communities from kbin, I'd really appreciate it!
Edit: I'm an idiot. It looks like all you have to do is search for the right term. IOW, like Technology. So it's not likely that you'll find the exact same community if you don't know the correct community name or a partial name. There's no browsing of a Lemmy instance from what I can tell. Plus, I was using mobile until today. I think on my phone, the location of the community was truncated, so I had no idea that I'd already found the other communities I was already taking part in.
She (somewhat jokingly?) told my family that she didn’t want kids at thanksgiving. Everyone (including her) knows that I want kids. She had been somewhat indecisive in the past, but it became clear to me that our long-term goals didn’t align. We talked about it and eventually broke up.

Many ladies have asked, why I don't want kids. At this point I just copy-paste my PROS&CONS -list to them 😂 (I made a list during one short relationship where she wasn't sure, does she want kids)
I am happy I found a lady that tilts towards not wanting kids (I know the opinion can change, but she's already in an age where it gets difficult to get kids anymre).
@daredevil when I find myself in an ancient cave or tomb that has been abandoned for centuries but there's a torch burning on the wall and candles next to every treasure chest.
I didn't know there were any apps for kbin, but using a browser to begin with, it seems pretty seamless. The link opens, then I hit back and I am back at the thread.
I did see after looking aroind that Artemis has an app, is that what you are using?
Mull doesn't open the link in a new tab for me if you are interested in trying a different browser. Or you could try Artemis but I have no experience with that.
So far as I know, Artemis is an app for kbin. I don't k ow how it handles links tho. It may open them in the app (which I believe is what you want) or it may open them in a browser (which sounds like what you are experiencing now).
What are you using to browse kbin that opens these tabs? Vivaldi?

I still think you're better off using a browser, whether you are on mobile or computer. I'm also sorry to see nobody else chiming on since I am really out of my league here in no-app, never have used reddit land haha.
Ya sorry, I was starting to get on over my head enough that I don't think I was keeping track of what you were saying AND what I was saying so got confused there.
So Artemis works on a computer? I didn't know that! I use Firefox on computer and Mull on mobile and haven't experienced the "symptoms" you were bringing up but also may not have as nice of an interface.
-The save points just before a cutscene, so if you die, you are forced to watch the said cutscene again and again.
-When characters are discussing, they say what the player is supposed to do. Dude, i'm the one who's supposed to do so, not the guy you're talking with.
Not having quick easy saves whenever it would be easy to do. There are times when it can't be implemented for a good reason (a bad reason would be to make the game harder. sure ok but that's such a boring way to do that) and it's fine but i still might quit playing the game forever when i realize my cat launching herself on the keyboard somehow closed all my programs. there goes that whole pain in the ass boss fight.
Honestly I am so over tutorials/slow starts. If it takes an hour of cutscenes, bullshit exposition, walk forward, jump three times… i don’t have the patience for it anymore.

I tried to replay Max Payne 3 recently and it's intolerable. You never get time enough to get into any kind of flow. Even though the actual gameplay is fun, I put it down after an hour or so (and about thirty cutscenes up to that point). 😩
I couldn't agree more. There's a time for story and exposition, and a time for gameplay. Developers who don't let the player flow in either direction create a very jarring experience. It totally breaks the immersion.
Legitimately invest a shitload into Bitcoin before cashing out at the top of the last bull market we just had (waiting a good number of years until then just having fun being young.) I'd then buy a plot of land in the middle of nowhere, set it up to be completely off-grid (as much as can be done, anyway), and then live happily in peaceful isolation while the world burns itself to the fucking ground and I hopefully die before I hit 60.
Unfortunately I didn't do any of that in 2013, so I'm still working on step one here in 2023... whatever the hell the right move is in 2023.
