In the past few days, I’ve seen a number of people having trouble getting Lemmy set up on their own servers. That motivated me to create Lemmy-Easy-Deploy, a dead-simple solution to deploying Lemmy using Docker Compose under the hood....
I posted the other day that you can clean up your object storage from CSAM using my AI-based tool. Many people expressed the wish to use it on their local file storage-based pict-rs. So I’ve just extended its functionality to allow exactly that....
Lemmy search isn’t great, or I’m too new, and can’t tell if this has been posted here before.
I hope it is a way to solve this…

The Bromite project has been inactive for the last 9 months or so. Today I found this fork of Bromite that’s well maintained and seems to work flawlessly. Hope it helps others who were looking for a replacement.

I just discovered this amazing app! It lets you remove (or just disable) preinstalled apps like Facebook, Netflix, etc. and system apps like samsung knox apps, diagnostic, bixby, and even One UI (but you must have installed other launcher). You can’t brick your device, worst case it falls into a boot loop and after 5 reboots...
Oh boy, it’s happening. Google is flexing it’s muscles and abusing it’s market position. It has never been a better way to convince and support family and friends in moving across to Firefox, a fast and privacy supporting browser.
