The flavor and the texture are so much better than those bitter dark chocolate bars.

It feels like every time I find a podcast about security/networking/technology the hosts end up saying some pretty off-color stuff, or I look them up and they also host right wing podcasts. Are there any that are more leftist, hosted by LGBT peeps, or at least not actively bigoted ?

For those of you who use Raspberry Pi’s in your home environment, I’m curious as to what you use them for. What applications are you running on them? Do you have your Pi’s setup in a cluster?

I am from Eastern Europe and this is the hottest summer on my memory. For at least 3 consecutive years the heat is breaking all records....

I have been on the edge with twitter and reddit for a while and I have finally deleted my accounts that I have had for a very long time there. They are no longer the places I used to know, even more so with twitter. I am ready for my new time here and on mastodon....

My significant other ate cucumbers and onion with some ranch. I called it a cucumber onion salad. She says there aren’t enough ingredients to call it a salad, because “it takes multiple ingredients”. I pointed out she had three and asked what the minimum is. She refuses to answer so I ask Lemmy.

Since currently Lemmy is mostly made up of nerds, I’d like to know what browsers you use and why? You could just upvote the comment with your browser of choice if you don’t want to explain.

In this case, I’m referring to the notion that we all make minor sacrifices in our daily interactions in service of a “greater good” for everyone....

What would be some fact that, while true, could be told in a context or way that is misinfomating or make the other person draw incorrect conclusions?

For some reason I think of it as an older concept. Now Starbucks and coffee chains are popular....

Es ist Mitternacht und passend zum Monatswechsel habe ich alle meine Kommentare editiert, gelöscht und meinen Account entfernt. Nun war es nicht ganz so dramatisch, da ich meinen Hauptaccount bereits vor einem Jahr gelöscht hatte. Dennoch fühlt es sich so an, als ließe man etwas zurück....

During covid times I heard many interesting conspiracy predictions such as the value is money will fall to zero, the whole society will collapse, the vaccine will kill 99% of the population etc. None of those things have happened yet, but can you add some other predicitons to the list?...

I always thought this was a fun topic. What power would you choose?

Just some off the top of my head: Destiny, Deep Rock Galactic, Overwatch, and most recently Baldur’s Gate....

Is it speed? Features? Ease of development? Just curious why lemmy is seeing more activity as opposed to other networks.
