Do you think editing titles of posts a good idea?

I feel this way, posts can be hijacked after becoming trendy to be replaced with ads, or there could be other ways to exploit this. If there was a title in the typo, then it’s easy to delete the post and re-publish it. But what could be use cases of having to edit a post title after publishing? Just add edits in the post body....

zephyr,

potentially useful

In what respect? I gave an example of title typo, but I can’t see any other way it would be useful in.

People sticking with audio jack phones, why is USB-C earphones not a solution?

Don’t get me wrong. Apple removing audio jack was the biggest facepalm in smartphone history. And you can thank it for not being able to make an upgrade without sacrificing audio jack (and SD card too :/). But USB-C is getting standardized everywhere now (laptops, smartphones, etc.). What makes USB-C earphones not worth the...

zephyr,

Is there any right or left left? How can we tell right from wrong, and left from right.

zephyr,

Get one with OPALv2 support

zephyr,

Yeah, that’s why Arch is almost the only distro that keeps everything installed natively. All other distros either have a troublesome workaround or only support flatpaks.

Rolling release just keeps everyone on the same pace. Yes, they break sometimes, but on the long run it just works.

zephyr,

Does this also apply to Twitter? The EU regulations could be the only way to get projects like Nitter back.

zephyr,

That seems to me a waaay too inefficient indicator of “you have unread notifications”

Piracy, in today’s context of unauthorized sharing of digital content, is wrongly condemned as immoral theft. However, it is not piracy itself that is immoral. Rather, it is the greed-driven laws and practices that censor knowledge and creative works to maximize profits. At its core, piracy is about sharing information and...

zephyr,

Yes. I’m all for sharing knowledge but to be honest most of piracy nowadays is porn and entertainment. So I wonder if the article argument cover them too.

zephyr,

There was a thing in Japanese culture where women with crooked teeth were considered more beautiful

zephyr,

Saved.

Thanks for this. Used to get a browser extension just for this. Some people on youtube talk reaaally slow that x2.0 sounds like their normal talking speed

zephyr,

BTW, glad to see bookmarklets still living. If I wasn’t wrong, Firefox seems to be the only browser supporting it.

zephyr,

zephyr,

Trust no one. Not because you’re paranoid, but because you don’t need to.

Trust no one and just use KeePassXC.

zephyr,

Fun fact: Africa is not a country.

zephyr,

I like how the recursive picture ends with a duck

zephyr,

Wow. What a great way to intensify biases and put them in a feedback loop.

zephyr,

Hit the road, bc Jack won't come back home no more
