I was just thinking about my password manager and use of 2FA. If I lost my phone or what if I get in some accident and have amnesia and cannot remember my master password. What would I do?...
Hello everyone, I just installed Linux (I’m new to it), in particular Linux Mint, with dual booted Windows for games. Tinkered with it a bit, loved the way it looked, loved how fast it is, but I really don’t want to stop on one option and stick with it for a while. I want to try new stuff, new distros (that’s how you call...
What do you want to customize? That could give us some things to suggest. I might suggest installing KDE desktop environment and trying it out, it is super customizable and theme-able right out of the box.
I posted this as a comment in another post but when I got done I realized it would probably just be better as its own post. I’m sure I could find the answers I need myself but frankly I trust the userbase here more than most online articles....
I think one of the main reasons that was missed here is that. Once Microsoft started pushing the windows store as a way to get software on windows Valve started making these moves for Linux. If Microsoft decided one day to lock all software to the windows store this is valves backup plan / bargaining chip.
I used Plex for my home media for almost a year, then it stopped playing nice for reasons I gave up on diagnosing. While looking at alternatives, I found Jellyfin which is much more responsive, IMO, and the UI is much nicer as well....
I really want to like Kodi, but somehow I’ve always struggled with its UI. I can’t seem to logically find the options I’m looking for (in the first place I look.)
I guess I’m not really following the technique. But let me ask this: Regardless if you aren’t getting air to your lungs then there is no point of breathing right? Since the lungs are the ones that get the oxygen into your bloodstream. If using the technique above is actually effective, wouldn’t you choke because of not getting enough oxygen?
You’re right it’s possible, but I’m still not sure if it outweighs the emissions to create a new car. Ideally we would have widely available public transit and we could do away with cars for the most part. That’s what we really need to solve climate change, not drive cleaner cars.
I want to use my raspberry pi as a “streaming stick” connected to my tv to stream my Jellyfin library and self hosted invidious instance (not hosted on the pi). Any top recommendations on the right setup? I was considering LibreElec, but was wondering if there are any other more modern solutions.
CEC is working well so that’s all handled! And my Jellyfin server takes care of any transcoding but most of my files are just able to be played directly.
I think my biggest complaint of firefly is you can’t create budgets and a few other items on the fly while entering transactions. Which you can do in gnucash.

I’m really excited by this. I sold my nintendo switch a while ago and I miss handheld gaming while going on trips. and also the fact that alot of games will probably be ported to linux because of this. what do you all think?

It serms incredible to me to give over a billion dollars to a random person.

I have a junk tablet, wifi, and around 5 bucks to spend. I need some ad free clean streaming or playlists I can stream for 12 or so hours a day.
Is it possible? I don’t think any of the big companies have a one time buy in, and If they do I doubt it’s anywhere near 5 bucks....
