IP adresses are pretty edge case yeah. I dont know if that should even be supported. The “example.com” does actually work tho, its just if you only include “.co” in your selection, it doesn’t recognize it as a URL even tho .co is the national TLD of Colombia. But all that really needs to change is to support all existing TLD’S and maybe IP addresses if there is community interest in it.

This is neither novel, nor morally acceptable. People that do this work usually end up traumatized for life, because of the fucked up shit they often have to look at. Prisoners are not really in a position to negotiate, meaning you can push this work on them in a sort of non consentual way that is below what modern society should strive for.
Unfortunately one major sector of image machine learning is CSAM scanning, which was also recently revealed as one of the major funding parties for the planned legislation intended to allow scanning all private communication in the EU. But generally i agree most of the things they will see might not be too bad by themselves but its still a job no human really wants to do of their own free will. If they do decide to do it, it is either out of a lack of choice or because they dont know what they are getting themselves into.
Forgive me for not trusting in the investigative journalism capabilities of fucking “wired”. How much of a choice that person really had is not something u can judge from an outside perspective. If they made this the highest paying jobs then there is no real choice probably.

If you actually believe that this situation would do anything but strengthen the assholes trans phobic tendencies, you ought to interact with real people more or something. sure in an actually dangerous situation it might be necessary, but nobody will actually get violent if there are already a bunch of people opposing them, even non violently. You cant force your thinking on people, they are just humans, it does not work. At some point you have to decide for yourself if you want to solve or simply postpone the problem.
i guess some peoples minds do work like that and would just associate them being an asshole to getting punished for it. However i also know enough people who would have the opposite reaction and simply have a growing pent up hatred and lash out even harder to get back at others for making them look bad or weak or whatever.

but realistically nobody has any interest in what random facebook groups you join as long as its nothing legally complicated. so the questions is do you want to prevent your friends and family from seeing what you are doing, or do you want to do stuff that could get you in jail? if its the former then a separate account is sufficient. if its the latter then you should do a lot of reading.
