I am still working full-time remote. There are definitely some social aspects of going to the office I miss, but I really don't miss the commute or the shitty office politics. Overall I feel I am still more productive from home and happier overall.
After Covid we have the liberty to work from home or come to the office as much as we want. Since we can make the choice ourselves, it is not as frustrating to go to the office as it was before.

To my knowledge no one was injured. The semi didn't have a trailer attached so the crash didn't feel too intense, surprisingly. I did have to wait 20 minutes for another bus tho which was mildly infuriating
I realized I interacted / posted / commented less and less on reddit these last couple of years. Couldn't even tell you why exactly. Now I've been here for a week and, I don't know, I just like interacting again... Hope it stays like this for a while :)
Thanks for asking! Lately I've been trying to cut down time spent in social media and other apps to be more present at home and giving more attention to people around me.
I've also tried to take more active role in meal preparation, my wife has appreciated that. :)
I had made one for lemmy.world and lemmy.ml, not really knowing what I was doing just checking out the different sites. Is there a point in having multiple accounts or can I just access everything with one account?
I created one Lemmy account first, then a week later I discovered Kbin. Since there are currently some federation issues, I'm checking in on both accounts.
This Apollo inspired Lemmy website can be installed as a webapp on any phone, and it works flawlessly and has a beautiful design. Currently, it's the best Lemmy app. I highly recommend it.
There's a bit of learning curve for sure, but people shouldn't overthink the federation aspect too much. At least here on Kbin there is plenty of content already.
I don't actually use TikTok or even the "sliding" function on youtube shorts, but I feel like my attention span has gotten much worse after they started getting popular. Even watching a 2 minute video feels dreadfully long, let alone a 10 or 20 minute video, so I end up watching a mostly short animation memes instead.
I was a TikTok user for a couple of months, one night I noticed that I had spent a couple of hours just watching these stupid videos and not remembering anything. Since then I have uninstalled the app and felt better.
There are some new features, collapsible comments, magazine sorting, the settings page which has an app icon switcher as well as a couple accessibility options!...
I've noticed the same thing, comments are not visible. As explained below, I'm just gonna give the federation some time to do its work and then the comments will start appearing.
I migrated to iCloud in Feb 2022. It was a bit tedious to change the email address to all services, for some I had to create a new account since changing email address was not possible. I like how iCloud mail has worked, I use the web interface on my work laptop and Mail apps on iPhone and Mac, I haven't faced any issues with it.
Just starting to familiarize myself with everything after about a decade at reddit. I understand that you can view content across instances but I'm noticing that both kbin and lemmy have similar (competing?) magazines/communities....
I remember having an app like that on my old Nokia smart phone. The app supported Twitter, Foursquare, Facebook and some other social platform too. I can only imagine how difficult it was to maintain.
A tourist filmed carving his and his girlfriend’s name into the walls of the Roman Colosseum faces a huge fine as Italian authorities vow to find the man.
I am torn. Lemmy feels slimmer and easier to use with a wider variety of apps. Kbin has an advantage of being an "all-in-one" solution for the Fediverse with a better UI....
I like kbin UI a lot, found also some user styles and scripts to make it even better. For iOS I found a great app called Memmy, I wish there was something similar for kbin.

Why does the infinity app still work with reddit?
I thought all apps were broken on July 1st?
What's wrong with using a browser to view Lemmy? Seems like a lot of posts are about best apps for Lemmy. Am I missing out on something by not using an app?
First post. Majorly a lurker on reddit, and now that I’ve switched to Lemmy, most likely will continue to stay a lurker....

Unlike previous attempts at trying reddit alternatives (like Voat), kbin and much of the lemmyverse doesn’t seem to be plagued with extreme far right buffoonery. (kbin.social)
