Also, they want control of your activity while your on the clock. It bothers them if you’re more productive, get the same amount of work done but can relax more at home. Which is the way it should be. If I can do the same work in 4 hours than I can in 8, I should get paid the same, and be able to relax, instead of being made to stay at work for 8hrs and be given even more things to do to just stay busy.
Some smaller companies are doing this. It makes them more agile financially and actually helps their growth to not have a building to pay for. I don’t understand the larger companies.
I love pizza, especially chicago style deep dish.
But I feel Detroit style has really been kicking it lately and I’ve been loving it. But I don’t discriminate, I love all my pizzas. My pancreas doesn’t though.
I agree. Same with every business doesn’t need a freaking app. It’s why I’ve avoided the app development sector of programming in my career. I don’t want to crank out shitty apps for every local business for the rest of my life. talk about boring.
It’s funny because I didn’t see it as commies losing, I saw it as two idiots fighting while the better ones watch… Because I’ve only seen don’t treat on me crowd be hillbilly trash. Maybe it’s just my area.
It seems that everything turned into scams, aggressive self marketing and just click bait irrelevant content. I liked finance videos, but every creator sounds like “the world will end soon” or “my secret method to make 1 million per week day trading stocks/forex/crypto.”...
Was reminded how Epstien not killing himself was/is so accepted yet it’s still a conspiracy theory. Is there any similar ones you guys believe to be completely true ?
I love mint. I use it everywhere. You wouldn’t recognize it anywhere I use it though. I customize the hell out of it. Right now I got this retro Ubuntu thing going on, running Unity DE and no snaps. not that I’m wholly against them, I just don’t have them.
Why do people block communities instead of using the subscribed feed? It feels like too much work. Did people really browse /r/all or the front page of reddit that much? That sounds like a nightmare. No wonder people complained about the mass of low effort posts. You’re subjecting yourself to them.
Not too long ago, regulations on CBD changed in Germany leading to a plethora of products containing it. As someone who occasionally needs pain medication, I tried some of the products to avoid regular pain killers (ibu). Especially on days with lighter pain, I wished for an alternative to the sledgehammer meds. But I was left...
Yes, they stop my panic attacks and help me sleep at night. But I’m super picky on brand. I use only lab verified, US companies that have been in the business since before it was legalized nationwide. A lot of growers and such are being bought up by corporations and even Chinese companies and quality is going in the pisser. And I’ve even gotten a nightmare experience that had me trapped under the influence of something that definitely wasn’t cannabis based at all.
I don’t care about the price, It just sucks that there is ONE MORE thing I have to remember to do before traveling. It’s not like going international isn’t stressful enough.
Wanted to ask you about this article, how do you remember the early days of the internet (I was sadly too young at that time). Do you wish it back? And do you think it can ever be like that again? I would be very interested
I miss the wild west feel and community. And that it wasn’t always online. I also hate that everything is in a web app, etc. I miss exploring random websites. I feel like the internet is just a series of walled gardens these days.
A while ago I used to listen to the Linux outlaws which covered a lot of gtopics in Linux and FOSS. The show has discontinued and I’m looking for your recommendations....
I also like their shows because they’re always trying new things and it encourages me to as well. The hosts are really human and it’s not like a voice reading a script. They’re really accessible and I’ve had many conversations with them. They’ve even featured one of my apps/projects They’re active in the community and Sponsor projects and meet ups. They’re also independent and really picky about ads.
why are companies trying so hard to have employees back in the office?
I have posted this on Reddit (askeconomics) a while back but got no good replies. Copying it here because I don’t want to send traffic to Reddit....
