Now part of me wants to wait for USB-C. The other part of me knows I have a lightning phone that I’ll be keeping for 3 more years. I feel like maybe lightning would be better until I get a USB-C phone.

I bought a few from Next, and although they were cheap, I can’t see them lasting as long as my superdry tshirts.
I might try the M&S ones next.
The superdry T-shirts might be expensive, but when they last way longer it ends up being better and less wasteful. Still, I think there’s probably a better compromise on cheaper and still decent long lasting quality.
Hi, I just unpacked an iPhone and I noticed this weird widget that was pre-added to my home-screen. Looks like it is ads! Is this a new normal behavior for Apple?...
It’s been explained a few times so I won’t repeat what others have said.
But I actually wish App-Clips were more common. I hate having to download a whole app for a one time payment for some company.
I did finally see one for a car park the other day.
I’ve only ever seen one when I’ve been pretty close to the merchant.
This is just a coincidence and not an ad. You happen to be very near that location. As I say I’ve only ever seen one when I’ve been within meters of a merchant that had one. I assume it’s Bluetooth range.
I’ve grown tired, or my wallet has, of the subscription based app. I’m not looking for anything in particular, so list your favorite Subscription free apps or Pay Once apps!
Not surprising. It’s not as if companies only start on the next version once the current one is out. Things like this need planning years in advance. I think I heard on the ATP podcast that Apple are already planning and working on what the M7 will be.
Just because they are testing the M4/M5 doesn’t mean it’s ready, or can be fabricated at scale for an acceptable cost just yet.
So, I have an iPhone, which I like, but we use Windows and Linux computers in our household. I’d never seen a Mac boot up until the other day after a friend gave me their old Mac Mini. I was excited to check it out, got it all set up and logged in – but it really just seemed like a giant iPhone regarding what it did and...
I have an iPhone, iPad and AirPods but I’ve never used an Apple Watch. My main uses at least at first would be to monitor heart rate when exercising and record lifting routines at the gym via Strong app. I use my iPhone at the gym now and find it a hassle to take in and out of my pocket to record reps. I’ve been looking at...

As title states, do you like recent changes in MacOS that make it visually more unified across the ecosystem or you prefer separate design languages for each OS?
I’ve had an iPhone 12 mini since launch and the battery life has become pretty abysmal. However, I’m reluctant to replace it with a newer, bigger model. My battery health is sitting at 86%, which really doesn’t sound that bad, but I feel like the actual battery life is way worse than when I bought it. Has anyone replaced...
