When I die I hope it’s doing 2 of my favourite activities- sitting and doing nothing.

quinacridone,

Seconding the massage gun, I had terrible muscle pain around my knee for over a year and after using one it went. I nearly fell off the bed as there wasn’t any pain. I’m now trying to loosen up the ligament/tendon around the knee and in my hip as it’s still tight…It’s really nice to be able to go on a long walk and not be in pain or having to use sticks when going downhill

I know I may sound like an Amazon review, but the difference is amazing, and also reassuring as I thought I would be heading over hill into pain and general decrepitude…I’m also using it to loosen up the bf’s knotty shoulders and bad back

' Fundamental-Change IIw' Fibre Wallhanging, by Karen Kamenetzky (lemmy.ml)

‘…My fiber wall hangings are inspired by microscopic/cellular imagery. All changes in essence happen on that infinitesimal level and result in the world we experience. My work is a kind of invented biology zooming in on that fundamental nature of things and bringing it into vision....

quinacridone,

I’ve just finished season 1 of rewatching DS9 (again) and Vedic Winn has just made her debut…she’s such a deeply horrible piece of work, and Louise Fletcher is perfect in bringing her to life

I’m going to enjoy seeing all the nefarious politicking along with Garak and Quark, Gul Dukat, and Jeffrey Coombs staring as Inertial Dampers…

November (and December) are going to be good!

quinacridone,

I actually like the background looking like that…I just have issues with the mug, I’m finding the reflective surface it’s sitting on is more interesting tbh

quinacridone,

I like how it’s reflecting the clouds, crane and orange ‘panels’

quinacridone,

Hi, nice photo…I was thinking originally ‘ceiling tiles’ but I’m now thinking it’s something much, much smaller…? What am I looking at?

Also, I’ve cross posted this to abstract photography, with a link to your original post and credit

quinacridone,

Thanks for the info!

The other photos you’ve posted are also really good, especially the boat, the colour really pops and I love the water…I’m looking forward to seeing more of your back catalogue 👍

quinacridone,

I feel your pain lol, I go out and take loads of photos, then have to wade through them to find maybe one half decent one…it’s a journey though, and a bit of fun!

quinacridone,

I really love felt and other fibre art creations, and yes, there is a tremendous urge to stroke and run my fingers through it…

I was at art cinema/gallery place once with a massive installation on the wall made of all sorts of items including those brightly coloured synthetic wigs…guess who got told off for touching them?

[OC] Portland (Maine, USA) Head Light lighthouse in black and white (discuss.online)

I had a chance to visit the Portland Head Light lighthouse and Fort Williams park in Portland, Maine recently. I thought it looked nice in black and white. Canon R5, RF 70-200mm f/2.8 L lens. We saw it at low tide, so I thought I’d try to capture the texture of the rocky foreground....

quinacridone,

I thought this was a linocut or pencil drawing in the thumbbail, very nicely done black and white photo

quinacridone,

The Pixies at Manchester Apollo, maybe 1990 /91

My friend had a spare ticket and I’d never heard the band before…Within a few seconds of the first song playing I realised I liked them. I ended up buying their albums and began my alternative/indie music journey

quinacridone,

Don’t know if you’re aware but we have a printmaking community on Lemmy that where your work would be very welcome!

quinacridone,

Brilliant, looking forward to seeing your work posted on Printmaking :)

quinacridone,

Excellent! Glad to hear it :)

Incidentally, do you also find there’s an overlap with printmaking and collage? I’ve noticed a few print makers also tend to do collages (although it could just be just using up prints that maybe didn’t go quite right, instead of having them go into waste bin)…just a musing…

'The Possibilities Are Endless V' by Karen Kamenetzky (lemmy.ml)

‘My biomorphic fiber wall hangings are inspired by the lines and patterns of microscopic/cellular imagery which I find visually and metaphorically rich. All changes in essence happen on that infinitesimal level and result in the world we experience. My work is a kind of invented biology zooming in on that fundamental nature of...

quinacridone,

Hope you don’t mind me cross posting this to https://lemmy.ml/c/abstractphotography

I’ve included a link to this post and credited you

Impressive photo btw, and really nicely executed

quinacridone,

Post your photos anyway, I still have ‘pending subscriptions’ from a while ago on other communities, and it’s the first time it’s appeared for a user on one of mine. I still haven’t found a ‘accept subscriber’ button on the mod ‘tools’ I shall keep looking, and again please feel free to post your photos!

quinacridone,

I hope you don’t mind, but I’ve cross posted it to abstract photography

quinacridone,

Yep, a link to the original post and your user details

quinacridone,

Love this song and the video, best bit is when Brodie gets her lyrics slightly wrong and Shirley gives her a peck on the cheek to let her know it’s alright

quinacridone,

Seriously?

We had no idea what happened and why it appeared in his gallery, it was possibly due to sausage fingers then rather than some strange photography alchemy. When I see him next I’ll check out the wallpapers in his phone…At least we know what it is now Lol, Thanks!

quinacridone,

That is quite possible, he doesn’t have this set as his wallpaper, but his phone can be a bit glitchy at times, and as I pointed out before sausage fingers

quinacridone,

https://lemmy.ml/pictrs/image/b117ad69-477a-4de0-b013-b90b17a1780d.jpeg

Definitive proof that it’s a wallpaper on a glitchy phone/sausage fingers

I’ll edit the post or delete it

quinacridone,

When I saw this as a thumbnail I thought I was looking at some strange beige snake with 2 toned eyes…

On closer inspection though, it’s a beautiful piece of jewelry. Is it for yourself or a significant other, or a commission?

quinacridone,

Sounds interesting, be sure to share your bling rings with us. Do you have plans for other jewelry or are you sticking to rings for now?

quinacridone,

Quite beautiful isn’t it? Like a water droplet floating in space

quinacridone,

Lol me too, I thought it was just trippy patterns at first! I really like how he’s created the individual cacti shapes, as well as playing find the bug

quinacridone,

Yep, there’s nothing quite like that unnerving feeling of walking face first into a spider web

quinacridone,

I’ve had a look through my field guides, and yes, I think you’re right
