I remember hearing about a parasitic wasp in a fig but is it all figs? I like fig but I don’t often buy it, this information inventivises me not to buy fig…
Thank you for the explanation, I wasn’t aware of the cycle. It hasn’t put me off figs. I think not knowing easily allows one to make a worse assumption of the actual life cycle.
Thank you for the input, appreciate it! I’m glad I had 3 very helpful response (yours being one of the 3 helpful ones!). I had assumed the wasp would still be there, didn’t realise it’ll be absorbed as part of the life cycle
Thank you for spending the time to comment but unlike the other responses, yours wasn’t as helpful. After understanding how the wasp is involved in the lifecycle of the fig, I have no qualms eating it.
Also I don’t think understand what your comment is about…
Bloody hell, that guy woke up with a condom inside him. They clearly wanted him to know he was raped. The abuse of power and exploitation of these young men - disgusting
Destinee Thompson was supposed to be on her way to lunch with her stepmother in August 2021 when Colorado police, mistaking her for a robbery suspect, fatally shot the pregnant mother as she fled in her minivan.
My partner and I were discussing this over dinner, our ideas went from buying up land to finance organic farming and distributing it at the lowest price to crashing the financial system to “reset” everybody’s bank account with no possible recovery. Any other ideas?
Create a fund and use the dividends to fund free healthcare. Rather than spend it all in one go, I want it to continue generating a stable fund to keep things going.
Was a lurker on most subreddits, a lot of things I wanted to comment likely had been said so I would just upvote them. Whilst right now (still getting my head round the instances), I feel more inclined to comment when there are low comment volumes.
Oh, when I posted, I only saw one other comment (so I’d thought I’d add to the comment count). I’m still new to this federated thing, maybe I can’t see all comments?

Well i am certainly not using reddit on my tablet anymore.
Is it just me or did anyone else became a more avid poster since joining lemmy?
On reddit I was a lurker that posted like once or twice a year, but ever since joining lemmy I’ve started posting multiple times a day.
