This doesn’t have a root system to worry about so it needs less underground space. Don’t get me wrong I love me a good tree, but in places where there isn’t enough land for roots to spread this could be useful. Lots of side walk trees die due to not enough space for the roots

Probably yes. As long as it’s 64 bit, it will run without issue, hardware dependant. For 32 bit machines, you have to be more careful. The 32 bit core duo and pentium m CPUs don’t support pae.
Edit: First Gen Pentium M don’t show pae support as a flag but they do.support it. You have to set forcepae for some distros. I read the page incorrectly. Pentium M laptops that have 5 in their model number, like the 735 are second gen Pentium M
They don’t show pae support so some OSes have issues. This is specifically for the first generation. I have a Pentium M 735 laptop which shouldn’t have this issue but for whatever reason PAE enabled OSes such as 32 bit Ubuntu won’t boot. I probably screwed something up. It currently runs bunsenlabs helium as it doesn’t require PAE. I’ll amend my previous comment

Last I checked, torch browser isn’t even updated anymore. I used to use it in high school (pre Firefox quantum days) and I really liked it. I currently use Vivaldi and Firefox.
I find chromium handles really low ram situations better than Firefox. Like on a pentium m 735 1 gb ram laptop, chromium handles audio and video playback better than Firefox. Audio doesn’t cutout and there are less dropped frames.
This isn’t an ideological boycott, this is stuff I avoid bc it’s not great.
ATT (I get better cell service in a subway than I do in my house and I’m on it because my MVNO switched from T-Mobile to att) HP (worlds shittiest hinges) Comcast, Spectrum (parents have comcast, it sucks. My friends have Spectrum, it also sucks)
While I agree with you with the 16:10 display being nicer, in terms of size. 1280x800 isn’t bad once you take into consideration of screen size. Like the ppi for both displays are in the low 200s. A 1080p 15.6 in display has a lower ppi than both of those.

I used to use Atom as my primary code editor, and it was really easy to disable telemetry in it (just two clicks). Now that Atom is no longer supported, I decided on using VSCode or VSCodium. However, I don’t really know which one to choose....
Two things to keep in mind though, I’m on Iris Xe graphics which has poor DX9 performance (it’s done entirely in software idk how) and GTA IV is just a really horrible port on PC. It’s cpu rendered shadows and just general jank. Early parts of the map run much worse.
Performance increases were mild but noticable. On both my old computer (i7 8550U and a Radeon 530 2 GB DDR3 gpu) and new computer (i5-1135G7 and Iris XE graphics), I got better frametime consistency and a noticable improvement in fps
It’s also been a while since I’ve played GTA IV. I was running older drivers then and there have been major improvements since.
Edit: vulkan performance has been somewhat consistent on Arc but I was using 2017 drivers due to stability issues. I’d probably see a marginal increase running modern drivers using dxvk.
This is gonna be more windows centric as I game on windows, but I do use dxvk so it’s probably not going to be that far off.
I5-1135G7, iris xe 80 eu, 16 gb of ram. I got around 40 fps in the benchmark on dx9, 50 fps on dxvk. This was on older Intel arc drivers. Vulkan performance has been consistent on their drivers but there may be some improvement. I was running 1080p medium settings, no anti aliasing and tri-linear as filtering.
I had an old i7 8550u laptop with a Radeon 530 2GB DDR3 graphics card. It ran GTA IV about the same with an older version of dxvk, but it had some performance issues because I couldn’t find a higher wattage adapter for it and would throttle.
ALSO TURN OFF SHADOWS. For whatever reason, it’s handled by the CPU.
A decent amount of people use arc now because it’s good value. I’m on Iris Xe integrated graphics which is basically baby Arc. I don’t know if it has all of Arc’s quirks or just some.
I really want to try topre switches. But most keyboards with hot swap keys cost money I do not have. The few mech keebs I’ve owned/used had lightstrike blues, kailh box browns, and some red switch that was really gritty for some reason. The lightstrike blues were really nice, box brows were louder than the blues imo. The red switch sucked. It was on a high end Corsair keyboard too. I don’t think it was a mechanical membrane hybrid thing.
