Pretty neat. Can’t afford 400 dollars per room though.

If you’ve got cloud backup you’re good, keep the drives in a drawer as spares or have another use?

East to setup Voice driven home automation systems.

Sure we have homeseer and home automation, both good tools, and sure we have plug-ins with Alexa, but none of these tools sell their own Alexa like device so I can be cloud free.

I’ve always wanted car to car commutation not through horns but radios or loudspeakers.

A mirror array is not a backup. So therefor I would use at least one of those extra drives for a weekly backup of your data. You want some sort of not real-time backup in case you get cryptoed for example

I would love to see them do the same style of show again, but with writers who cared about the Star Trek universe.

Have you tried reading in bed? It’s not just a few minutes but it definitely helps me make the eyes tired and heavy which makes me know when I can close the book and fall asleep in a matter of minutes.

Don’t feel bad. Everyone gets distracted with a gun pointed at them.

netburnr, to asklemmy in I need to record over some Hi8 tapes; 5 tapes, ~2½ hours each. I can record audio and video directly. What should I put on there?
@netburnr@lemmy.world avatar

Why not just film the wall until your tape runs out and then swap the tape to the next.

I have to disagree on one count, the rest I agree with. The entire show sucked, every season. Had some good visual effects, but the story was garbage, the new klingons were absolutely a joke, and the individual episode plots were all just too soap opera and not enough Star Trek.

After about 2 days you won’t need a chart to know the time offset does to someone’s waking hours. Unless of course you have a learning disability.
