lars,

Amphetamine and morphine is my love language. Call me.

lars,

And the… non-WASPs knew their place. They loved it too in fact!

(I’m paraphrasing some actual things that actual people have actually said about the good old days (but I can’t remember their actual euphemisms (dysphemisms) for non-WASPs))

lars,

…and could afford houses and food

lars,

Yeah how’s that return policy on white elephants going

lars,

It never occurred to me that I should be grateful to have heard “heathen” used only by history professors and sarcasts.

lars,

But now I sound like I’m wearing the same rose-tinted glasses as the folks I was making fun of

lars,

things are uniquely, complexly and extremely bad on a global scale compared to the past

I’m with you. But also, has every generation said exactly this?

lars,

Ol’ Genocide Joe doesn’t need to worry about presidential immunity in places like Palestine

lars,

Sounds like me and my bros

lars,

Name a document harder to update than the US Constitution.

And at least with the Bible, Christians, pathologically yet mercifully, pretend the awful stuff in it just doesn’t exist.

lars,

Spill the tea

lars,

Whoa — you’re about 8472729737382 times cooler than me. I didn’t even know such a show existed.

lars,

For-profit anything-necessary-for-survival

lars,

What if I’m in my own home minding my own business and an attacker named Enola comes and waltzes right in my door and how do I protect my property then?? Some people smh

Time to ditch #duckduckgo (lemmy.world)

In the last couple of months I have noticed an increasing trend of supplying me search results that are completely unrelated to the current query and tie back to my location or previous searches. I can say this with a high degree of certainty this is without a doubt beyond the 100th instance this has happened....

lars,

So like… all Searx instances are independent, but I can save my preferences in a reproducible query string? Or like… how’s this a long-term, easy, good move for me? (I know ≈nothing).

lars,

Thanks!

Do all the Searx instances generate and keep independent indexes of the entire internet, or is it more like Lemmy (where, maybe, each instance is a window into the entirety of the index)?

lars,

They’ll work on a solution in the year 275,759

…written in ES5, Python 2 and mostly Rust++

lars,

They opened a new one (archive (screenshot)), almost identical to the first one.

lars,

Evidently you haven’t experienced me yet 🧐 jk and it’s not a thing I’m familiar with outside the trope

lars,

no brainer” said one paper the morning after.

Even worse, George W. Bush’s 2004 reelection was the only time a Republican president has won the popular vote since the Cold War.

lars,

This also leads me to believe Trump is the worst American president we’ve seen so far.

lars,

First time for me — I look forward to finding it again someday

lars,

Everyone’s did

lars,

I’ve used my passport to visit many places much closer than pre-9/11
