grapheneos.org has a lot of info. Make sure to buy a phone with an unlocked bootloader. All carriers lock it so buy it used and make sure that its unlocked or buy it directly from Google. You can install all google apps through Aurora store, a Play Store fronrend. You can also install sandboxed Google Play services so your Play Store apps can run and have functionning notifications, as they usualy rely on Play services. Yes you can sideload apps like normal android. Its AOSP without the google stuff. • Kali in VM because hacker
• Flush Windows and install mint cuz I think I’m a Linux pro
• Go back to Windows a few months later because did not know that wine existed
• Go back to Mint after a couple of months cuz Windows was worse.
• Stay with mint for a year and break some nvidia packages
• Got annoyed with the lack of customisibility of Mint and got an AMD GPU so jumped to Artix (systemd-less Arch)
• Still daily drive Artix.
• Installed Debian on new home server

My post specifically talks about rooting the Pixel 8 Pro, I do not see why you would promote the use of gOS.

Yep I’m on gOS, should’ve mentionned that. Do we know when v27 will be released? I’m still pretty new to all of this, coming from a jailbroken iPhone. Would you suggest building Magisk from here or trying the dev build in the meantime? Thanks a lot!

Newest update. It boots now (idk why) but there is no status bar/bottom pill/gestures.
