I’ve been using the Android 14 Beta for a while now so nothing really new to me for now, but what I liked since the beta is that the battery life got better....
Without dealing with side loading, is there a trick to force a pixel 6 to update OTA on Google Fi?
I know in the past you could clear the storage for certain Google services on the device and it would magically find an update that it claimed wasn’t available 10 seconds prior. But I’ve been out of the game for a bit. Do those tricks still work? My Google Fi pixel 6 doesn’t show an update is available and I’m still on 13. I’ve only tried rebooting and trying again so far.
Computers, the Internet, and the whole of IT have been moving too fast for regulators to keep up since the 90s. They are slower than a tortoise walking through molasses with a blindfold on.
But what can you expect when those who make regulations over IT still don’t know how to change the time on their VCR?
I let myself get caught up in my Diablo nostalgia and bought D4. I trudged through the campaign but I just can’t get into the endgame at all. Yet I jump into Diablo 3 again and have a blast. And they’re still doing balance changes and even adding new features in this update....
I’m waiting a few seasons for them to make the game enjoyable before I try it again. Diablo 3 was released with an endgame that sucked. But over the years they fixed it and made it incredibly fun.
I know Diablo 4 isn’t intended to be the same power fantasy that Diablo 3 became, but I’m convinced they are headed in a direction that makes the game fun, because it isn’t currently fun at all. It’s tedious work with lackluster rewards. But they will get there.

I personally hate rounded corners and shadows added everywhere. Makes most things look crappy and smudged.
