Just look at the guns these zealots buy. Big and black. Combine that with the typical racialized sexual insecurities of the white male conservative American, which as a group is becoming more and more incel because no woman in this day and age wants anything to do with them.
Well my opinion is based on data. There’s a reason why you don’t see these incel shooters buying snub nose revolvers or ultra compacts. And yes, I do think those types of guys spend way more time thinking about what’s in other dude’s pants than is healthy.
Content quality and the rate of submission has clearly plummeted.
I’ve noticed this too. Almost all of the subs I regularly go to have been filled by obvious “seed”-content posting by brand new and never before seen in the sub accounts, with upvotes equaling some of the highest voted (for the sub). It actually pushed me to migrate to Lemmy more.
Reddit is a read-only site for me now, and only when I’m searching for something specific. All my “forum browsing” time goes to Lemmy now. Can’t wait until I can unfollow the last few Twitter-only accounts (public transit alert accounts) so I can complete my migration to Mastodon.
Just as with books, movies, plays etc the past holds a treasure trove of amazing experiences. Unless you have a lot more free time than I do it’s unlikely you’ve played anywhere near the majority of the classics. Let’s get out those pink sunnies and compare notes on some of our favourite releases....

Deus Ex. I won’t call it a masterpiece, but it’s an iconic piece of gaming. I thought the “solve the missions however you want!” aspect was a bit oversold but replaying it during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic just made me realize how good the story and lore writers were. Music was great too, and it’s a good source for memes.
I’m just curious for the new or existing people? Lemmy.ml has taken a hard turn to the right since the reddit exodus. There’s been a lot of pro-imperialist propaganda being posted on world news, and a lot less diversity of opinion. It feels more neoliberal and neo-con to me....
