Time for a new job. There are plenty of remote jobs out there. You have good experience under your belt, so don’t let them scare you into going into the office. Give them the bird and leave. Companies don’t care about you, no matter how long you’ve been with them, and you shouldn’t care either. And no, your team isn’t your family, they’re just people you work with. Don’t be attached.
That’s what happens when your life is handed to you on a silver plate. Working, struggling a little, raising a family, taking care of a house and other stuff keeps you busy and gives you purpose. But it could just be mental illness in this case, we don’t know.
I have had a very busy life since I was a kid. Now I’m in my 40’s and still busy as fuck with work, kids, family members and other shit. I don’t even have time for depression 😂
Oh, I’ll still be busy then, trust me. Sometimes, the wife takes the kids to her family’s house and leaves me in the house to have some time for myself, I don’t just sit. I either go work on my PC, go walk outside for a while, clean around the house. I can’t just sit and do nothing.
Maybe it’s just because there’s less content on Lemmy as of right now, but I remember doomscrolling Reddit, but now I only briefly open Lemmy once or twice a day....
Everything is back up now. I used connect for Lemmy and it actually tells you why an instance is not working. Lemmy.world was under maintenance, and the other one was just down.
Spotify is facing a privacy controversy as users allege that their private playlists were made public without their consent. This situation, similar to a previous issue, has raised concerns about an ongoing privacy problem. I recently came across a YouTube video that shed light on the detrimental effects of sitting for long hours and provided exercises and stretches to combat them. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to find that video now. I have a few tools at my disposal, including dumbbells, a pull-up bar, an elastic band, and a yoga mat. I was...
I’d focus mostly on hip mobility/flexibility, as the hip is the area that’s most affected by sitting for too long. Just look up “best hip mobility stretches”. Also, I’d pay attention to your back and find some stretches for it, too. I personally do that every day. I also walk 1 - 2 miles almost daily after work. That’s another very good thing for your body. You need a lot of mobility. I also hit the gym 4 days a week.
Hips are crazy. If they get tight, your femur bone twists slowly and doesn’t align correctly with your shin, which then cause major knee pain. So, you always want your hips to be as flexible as possible. Also, you want your hip flexers to be loose so that you can actually do military press standing without fucking with your back hard. Hips are very important. So many things get fucked up when the hips aren’t flexible. Your squatting will hurt your back (because of butt wink) if your hips are tight. For squatting to be healthy, you need to have flexible hips and loose Achilles tendon.
That site is dead. Infinity for reddit still works, and I’ve been seeing a whole bunch of new subs I’ve never heard of before. Subs I don’t care for at all. Only major ones I’m seeing still are askreddit with their stupid and useless fictional questions, mademesmile and two more or so.
Other than your carrier give it for free or cheap, I don’t really see the reason why should you buy new phone. I’ve been using Redmi Note 9 for past 3 years and recently got my had on Poco F5. I don’t see the point of my ‘upgrade’. I sold it and come back to my Note 9. Gaming? Most of them are p2w or microtransaction...
I’ve been using the same galaxy note 20 ultra since launch. It’s been 3 years now and it’s still working no problem. I do struggle with the USB-C port, it got loose and the wire falls off easily, but no big deal. If this dies, I’m buying the same phone from eBay and I’ll be rooting it when Samsung stops sending updates.
