We all are pretty annoyed at how the printer industry is screwing customers over. There are a few printers that are really good but most of them suck and try to suck out your money by demanding ink when none is needed....
In 1980, Stallman and some other hackers at the AI Lab were refused access to the source code for the software of a newly installed laser printer, the Xerox 9700. Stallman had modified the software for the Lab’s previous laser printer (the XGP, Xerographic Printer), so it electronically messaged a user when the person’s job was printed, and would message all logged-in users waiting for print jobs if the printer was jammed. Not being able to add these features to the new printer was a major inconvenience, as the printer was on a different floor from most of the users. This experience convinced Stallman of people’s need to be able to freely modify the software they use.
So I’ve got a couple of services that I access using mydomain.org:1234 for example, but since Nextcloud runs its own web server it’s hosted on mydomain.org/nextcloud....
Guys I got no clue on how to pirate or stream on TVs.i know people do it with chromecast. Can smth like cloudstream be run on lg webos and similarly can I run youtube without ads whether that be through vanced or sponsorblock....
This just seems odd to me. I know it’s a competitive game, and most folks will be playing with a mouse and keyboard, but it feels weird for Valve to put out a brand new game (built from scratch, at that) and not plan for this.
SteamOS 3.6 is live on the “main” update channel, and it is very buggy. (Note: the most bleeding edge update channel is called main. 3.6 is only live on the “main” channel, not any of the stable or beta channels)....
I haven’t touched my steam deck in a month or 2. Is there a process for switching back? Just ignore the pending update, switch the channel, then check for updates again?
Gotcha. I dont forsee a problem since my current 3.5 version is probably older than the version on the beta-candidate channel as long as it doesn’t auto-update when I boot it up next.
Is it one that you just use and works just fine? Or one that has proven to be reliable and responsible if they do a mistake and only want to satisfy you as a customer?
I have been looking all day for a FOSS keyboard that’s under active development. It seems like more of not all of the ones I’ve seen recommended haven’t been updated in over a year some three years. I don’t mind if it’s a long time between updates but I want to know bugs will be fixed eventually.
To add more info. I have open federation. No allowed or blocked instances. The curl requests on the troubleshooting page all return fine obviously. And federation is definitely working since I am federating with lemdroid. Every other community in any instance I’ve tried stays on “subscribe pending”. I get no comments from them and no new posts unless I purge the community and subscribe again.
How do you manage your music library?

Counter-Strike 2 is out, but it’s not Steam Deck Verified (www.theverge.com)

[PSA] If you had switched to the main update channel to get 3.5 early, I would recommend changing back one of the less bleeding edge update channels.
SteamOS 3.6 is live on the “main” update channel, and it is very buggy. (Note: the most bleeding edge update channel is called main. 3.6 is only live on the “main” channel, not any of the stable or beta channels)....
