anders,

@mypasswordis1234
OnlyOffice is good. Very similar to MS office

anders,

@TheSun
Good to know. Thanks for that insight

See now that I myself am he!
There is no god besides me.
I put to death and I bring to life,
I have wounded and I will heal,
and no one can deliver out of my hand.

I can also recommend LXDE which is very lightweight. That's what I installed on my dad's old single core laptop.

@mod_pp @Ricaz Er der nogen der bruger dette ord? 😂

anders,

@MicroWave Wow it has grown very quickly. Last time I checked a few weeks ago I think it was around 30k

anders,

@cat There is Podman Desktop, don't know if that can do it.

anders,

@cat You can find it on Flathub

anders,

@alertsleeper I use Friendica, but I don't hate Mastodon, Calckey or Lemmy users.

For that same reason I don't hate Threads users.
It's up to each individual user which platform they want to use.

Just my opinion.

anders,

@alertsleeper That makes sense. I don't think it will though. Lemmy is (in comparison to Mastodon and others) more restricted. With a Lemmy profile you can't see posts which aren't part of a Lemmy community.. so as long as Threads users don't make a lot of posts in Lemmy communities you won't see their content.

I don't think you have anything to worry about there.

anders,

@SUPERcrazy3530 @peppy Completely agree. If they disconnect later we are just back where we are now - so literally no loss. Only win by connecting

anders,

@ProvokedGamer @Enchantments nice to meet you guys !

anders,

@marsara9 would be cool if it had the ability to search through all instances. don't know if thats possible

anders,

@marsara9
I see. Will just set home to the same as the one I search. I'm using Friendica so I'm used to copy links to the search field in order to fetch remote Lemmy posts.

anders,

@e8d79 cool. haha. but still. i wanna see click bait titles, because then i know who is most likely a scammer 😀

anders,

@crunchpaste cool. good to know

@whelk
What a shame. Python is so awesome for so many cases.

anders,

@whelk
Indeed. It doesn't have to run fast if we are talking applications where performance isn't important.

A community about conscious manifestation using the law of attraction/assumption
@newcommunities

Hi all.
I created a new community for this purpose, so if anyone is interested in this, you can find it here: lemmy.world/c/manifestation

anders,

@mim this is a spiritual practice.
There are many techniques one can use but here i will give one example:

if let's say you want more money or better health - the desire can be anything, you can say affirmations in your mind as if the thing you want is already true. for example "I have the best health in the world" or "I always have more money than I need".
As you continue this practice it will be normalized in your mind and you will believe it more and more. The belief makes the subconscious mind manifest it in the external world in one way or another.

When you succeed in manifesting things, your faith will grow and it will eventually become easier as the mind will more easily pick it up, when one has faith in what he/she is saying to him/herself.

anders,

@mim
You're welcome :)

That's alright. thank you so much :)

Yes I run my own mailserver. I have done it for the last 15 years or so.

I'm also running my own Friendica instance.

anders,

@DidacticDumbass But yeah you're right. It's a mess nowadays with email hosting because Google for example just rejects everything except the other big services even if you comply with DKIM etc. Fuck them honestly

anders, to memes en-us

Is this still available?

anders,

@PeefJerky This just makes me wanna post a meme

anders,

@mikestevens I use Firefox on both phone and pc and use Firefox Sync to sync between them.

Lemmy is booming

I have never before received so many reactions and comments on my Lemmy posts before, so it's obvious to see, that there are many new members here.
Welcome to all the new! And I'm looking forward to see more of you here.
Cheers!

I think the "Anti-slut defense" mechanism most women have in their minds make them keep lots of things in secret.

So if they have similar jokes as this they may keep them in a private chat with their close friends.

It shouldn't matter. Mastodon users should get notified when you reply to their post even though they aren't tagged in it.

At least that's the case for me on Friendica but I remember the same behaviour from back when I used Mastodon.
