Hey everyone. I made a casual survey to see if people can tell the difference between human-made and AI generated art. Any responses would be appreciated, I’m curious to see how accurately people can tell the difference (especially those familiar with AI image generation)

audiences will rarely move from platform to platform. For content creators, we have to go to where our audience is, or provide an incentive to move elsewhere. That’s the main reason why there hasn’t been a decent competitor to YouTube, Twitter, nor Twitch. The audiences there are entrenched.

This is completely counter productive to growing Lemmy. I absolutely despise discord. Look at the network traffic it generates and tell me wtf they are doing. They won’t tell you. Their business model will leave you completely dumbfounded as to how they exist. Everything shared on the platform is lost in a black hole...
People use different platforms for different reasons.
I personally use Lemmy because it’s currently the best alternative to Reddit. I use Discord because it’s the most popular instant messaging platform, and I haven’t had issues with it. I’m currently looking for a replacement for Twitter/X as I’m not confident with the way that platform is headed.
I don’t understand this argument about antitrust laws. As far as i know Google hasn’t done anything to block other companies from making their own search engines or browsers. Nor does Value and Steam, nor Microsoft and Windows.
As a web developer, EdgeHTML was the source of so many bugs, including a few that were regressions, and it didn’t seem like Microsoft dedicated enough resources to the Edge project.

the second point feels highly suspect as most internet traffic is encrypted these days, and all ISPs could analyze is the domain you’re talking too, and the amount of traffic to each
