TheHolyChecksum,

Cody’s Lab. He has been building a Mars base in the Utah desert for a couple of years now, including not being able to work on stuff without a “space suit” or Robo Cody. He also does a lot of very interesting science experiments involving chemistry, engineering, and geology.

Styropyro. Very hard to describe, seriously just watch one of his videos, your mind may be blown (by lasers or very large battery arrays, who knows!)

TheHolyChecksum,

They have been doing healthcare for a decade now. They are the biggest telemedecine provider in Canada. Telus Health =/= Telus Mobility.

TheHolyChecksum,

Fair enough! Thank you for clarifying

What are the best multiplayer games to try if me and my friends are looking for a similar experience to a Bungie Halo campaign marathon on Heroic+ difficulty?

PC. We played through all of the 3+ player ones around a year or two ago in chronological order and it was stupid fun, what we liked about it and are hoping to find elsewhere is it being a shooter with an emphasis on movement and it’s physics sandbox (AKA CHAOS) while still having at least 3 full campaigns to play through in a...

TheHolyChecksum,

The borderlands series. Start from the first and work your way through the franchise. I’m not a huge fan of the latest games but 1 and 2 have at least 60-80h of gameplay I’d say.

TheHolyChecksum,

I really wish some of those open source media libraries will tackle the real reason spotify has an almost monopoly in music apps, algorithmic discovery of new artists/songs. Thats the only reason everyone I know are still paying for premium.

TheHolyChecksum,

Listenbrainz looks promising, thanks for the recommendations.

TheHolyChecksum,

Nah not really. There’s a bunch of names that were given just for the sake of inventing a names and getting attention. From Wikipedia: >>> Many -phobia lists circulate on the Internet, with words collected from indiscriminate sources, often copying each other. Also, a number of psychiatric websites exist that at the first glance cover a huge number of phobias, but in fact use a standard text to fit any phobia and reuse it for all unusual phobias by merely changing the name. Sometimes it leads to bizarre results, such as suggestions to cure “prostitute phobia”.[2] Such practice is known as content spamming and is used to attract search engines.

An article published in 1897 in American Journal of Psychology noted “the absurd tendency to give Greek names to objects feared (which, as Arndt says, would give us such terms as klopsophobia – fear of thieves, triakaidekaphobia – fear of the number 13…)”.[3]

TheHolyChecksum,

I like that you are nuanced about 99% of the information provided, but you dogmaticaly say that snaps are bad lmao. At least provide an explanation for your opinion. It just looks like you were tired at that point or something.

TheHolyChecksum,

The OP seems to be obsessed with Russia.

TheHolyChecksum,

Comes from the social media platforms that auto remove stories that contain certain words. Tiktok, Instagram, etc.

TheHolyChecksum,

It’s not early november anymore my dude. Wake up.

Time to ditch #duckduckgo (lemmy.world)

In the last couple of months I have noticed an increasing trend of supplying me search results that are completely unrelated to the current query and tie back to my location or previous searches. I can say this with a high degree of certainty this is without a doubt beyond the 100th instance this has happened....

TheHolyChecksum,

Yes, I have the same issue with DDG for something like a year now. I can’t use it anymore for basic searches, I feel like the bing api they are using is getting worse and worse.

TheHolyChecksum,

If its run at cost, why aren’t you selling it to the tenants?

TheHolyChecksum,

Of course not. Capitalism is only good for a very tiny subset of the population’s bank accounts.

TheHolyChecksum,

This meme could also work with India and Pakistan

TheHolyChecksum,

That’s a cool project but I fail to see an improvement on the official aonprd spell list. On aon you can filter with much more detail.

TheHolyChecksum,

This discussion definitely needs to happen. I am not on the fediverse since very long so maybe that already exists, but it could be good to have some sort of “canary” on instances that let everyone knows who defederated from whom and when.

TheHolyChecksum,

No mexican food in japan??? OP, it’s like saying theres no japanese food in Mexico… Have you ever traveled lmao?

TheHolyChecksum,

Maybe you should work on your empathy.

TheHolyChecksum,

I have no issues whatsoever on a 2080, 64gb ram and an old Ryzen 7 5800x. Runs great. As always, the online noise about new game is excessively negative for no good reason, definitely worth a buy if C:S is your thing.

TheHolyChecksum,

Nintendo ruined the lives of excessively smart people that were fighting for rights to repair because of their own pettyness. If you want more information about that, look into team xecuter. Darknet Diaries episode 136.

TheHolyChecksum,

Not sure what you mean? It’s a meta app, they can easily fingerprint your devices without the need of an IP address, VPN doesn’t matter at all. If you access any Meta services from the same device, they know exactly who you are.

TheHolyChecksum,

No thank you. Also, it’s not an “AI”, it’s a LLM. Not sure why you are lying about your tool.

TheHolyChecksum,

How is this more accessible? Have you read the installation instructions? How would someone that has no IT background even manage to configure this? Even just grabbing a binary from the releases page is complicated for a lot of people.
