It runs in the commandline with minimal resources. If you bother to make the configuration file you can have it watch a folder for new torrent files like your download directory and then move completed downloads wherever you configure. So on one server I will have it download the file on a SSD and the move the finished download to a spinny drive. You can also have like ~30k torrents before the client starts to bottleneck but you can run concerent instances.
The last few computers I’ve purchased have let me put the card in monitor mode right out of the box. I even do pci passthrough to a kvm with them.
I can’t even remember the last time I messed with drivers outside of installing amd graphics for rocm support. The open source drivers seem faster for games. It’s weird how much stuff just works out of the box now.
Last time I installed windows on hardware it was a saga to get everything working. You even have to modify the win11 installer to allow a local account without using ms365 but I guess it’s more friendly or whatever’s peoples excuse is. Windows does work pretty good as a VM with the fedora qemu drivers if you feel like running microsoft malware on your network like it’s the early 2000s.

I understand that that’s hard with smaller spaces but a bunch of posts with 0 comments is usually a turnoff when I look at a community. Kind of raises the sketchy incel/alt-right feeder community vibe in my mind.
I like the idea of this community I never really saw one on reddit nore did I really seek one out. Honestly current events even with trolls would be fine if it could be kept respectful. They usually just make a fool of themselves or ratioed.
Just for yourself? Why not rent or colo a dedicated server or two or three and install a hypervisor? What all do you even run for yourself that needs 25 servers?

Interesting. I wonder if the main community they spam in are just banned and not the instance. I got so much spam from one user who posted like several things an hour all day with no engagement on any posts when I would sort by new before we defederated. It was weird.
These people offer a free VPN but it’s kind of a side project with the donations they get for other projects they run. I can’t think of any other free VPN I would give any trust to.
Yeah I just liked the cross over promotion stuff they did. I still have movies from last year to watch before these. I was just surprised no one I saw was having a meltdown over either of them before they even watched.
I think they do count public available piracy numbers into the data I feel like I read that on TF years ago after some movie tried to manipulate it and got caught.
