My favorite laptop is a the 10 year old Asus Zenbook ux305f. It was slow when it came out but, runs flawlessly. It's fanless, great on battery, the battery and ssd are user replaceable, and has a 1080p matte display. Old tech can be great tech.

My excitement levels are through the roof as I remember Android 14 might release sometime in August. Unless Google finds a showstopping bug that needs to be fixed before release...Crossing my fingers for a new version of soon. As the Lockscreen customization is looking so pretty. 😍

@WanderingInDigitalWorlds it might release but i'll hold it off until some real user reviews pop up before updating myself.

@WanderingInDigitalWorlds yes, and don't forget the third party app compatibility. I wouldn't want tasker to suddenly break.

Any suggestions friends?

I've got this basically new Lenovo 3. And it just won't power on at all. Just does nothing. No lights, no screen. It's charge and same deal with power plugged in.

I've tried the power/ refresh trick and even took it apart so it's just mother board keyboard and screen and still nothing.

Anything else I should try?

@codemonkeymike if its new, did it not have any warranty?

what are some cheap/lazy pc lifehacks which improved your pc ux? something like a long headphone cables or specific shortcots

@piezzo Autohotkey, just to remap your keys or shortcuts to automating windows functions. It's very powerful. I use it to open applications, switch windows, run commands on the command line.

You really can’t make this stuff up.

So called “ ” person writes an article comparing , , and .

Here is the first line in his negative review of Mastodon:

“I haven't signed up for Mastodon.”

No joke.

He didn’t try it out.

I’m guessing he wasn’t paid by mastodon or the hence the ridiculous “review.”

The is blinding.

@kevin These mainstream tech websites don't consider or even care about viewers best interest anymore. They're just ad publishers who write articles to herd users for mega corps. Whoever pays, gets the positive narrative.
