Not for any reasons against the man, or the expectation that I have even half a hope of getting a solid strike in, but I’ve read of the man’s fighting and wrestling experience. They like bringing up his long build as an advantage.
Me and Lincoln are going to fight the proper Orang way. On the deck of a ship in open waters, with a single knife each. We can come to an agreement on victory conditions.
Find a stylist you trust, tell them you want to grow your hair out. They’ll help you get an initial shape, and while it’s growing, it’s still important to get trimmed up. It takes time, and in the middle stages can look a little messy, but it all comes together in the end.
Also remember a little bit of styling can go a long way during those awkward lengths. Sometimes it really is all in how you wear it.
I love Spiritfarer, would normally agree without a second thought, but in this case, I’d definitely say be quietly prepared to answer some questions about death.
It does excellently to handle its themes in beautiful ways, but kids can be more aware than we give them credit for, even if they don’t fully grasp a concept.
That’s a part of why Celeste, and Madeline as a character, now has a strong place to some trans gamers. She climbed the fucking mountain. She looked at her self doubt, her fear, the person in the mirror telling her she could never do it, never be that person, and did it. She overcame it.
Madeline is a woman, and writing her character off as “trans, not female” is writing off the impact that story has had for people climbing their own mountains.
Bah! Wizards! With their eyes weak from reading faded scrolls by candlelight, caring for their precious book so they can even hope to cast a spell, minds rotten by words learned and forgotten only to be learned once more.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to try to open a door without setting the building on fire again.
Shady as shit no-tell motel, overpriced as hell for where it’s located. Pulls in maybe 5 guests a week, but the owners flashing about in a shiny new car.
I’ll be honest, the Amy and Kif episode kinda lost me in the back half. I understood what they were going for, but they took Amy to an absolutely annoying extreme, in my opinion.
Not killed my want to keep watching, but this start has felt a little bit rougher than the others.
Nakari has “existed” since I was a teenager. Started off as a character I used in writing as an outlet, but slowly the name also became a handle for me. Hell, I guess an entire “presence” since it’s my go-to for most sites.
Lexfortaine came around because I wanted something vaguely “proper” sounded in a D&D game, and I never actually got around to giving the character Nakari a “canon” last name. It worked well enough for an asspull, and has just been tracked on ever since. Grown to like it, actually. Feels more like a proper name.
For me its honestly a ton of my work software (digital forensics), shit is too niche to be replaced by good FOSS options. Cellebrite, Magnet Axiom, etc. Autopsy is great and free and has a linux version but it simply cannot get the same level of data without a pretty nutty level of custom code....
Whoever undertook that would need to have a lot of time and personal resources to dedicate to the vetting process. The sheer amount of quality differences that would come in… Not saying you need the FLACs from a professional studio, but you know you’d get someone recording on a HAM radio from the frozen wastes.
It’s up for pre-registration on Google Play, and it has a community floating around somewhere. Not quite ready yet, but last I heard he’s getting close.
Hey, another person who figured it out thanks to Reddit!
Without the NB community on Reddit, I don’t know if I would have ever really found the right words to describe myself. Stumbling across people who were experiencing the same things made it all click. My feelings finally made sense, and I didn’t feel so confused and alone. I had somewhere I didn’t have to hide everything about myself.
My company was discovered using monkeys for emissions tests. They were gassing monkeys, and legitimately used “everyone in the industry does it” as an internal defense to quell upset staff.
Fuck Volkswagen. Straight up. No fucks given, worst job I ever worked.
Minnesotans are now able to legally possess and grow their own marijuana for recreational purposes, after the Minnesota Legislature approved a 300-page bill earlier this year, and Gov. Tim Walz signed it into law shortly thereafter. It became official Tuesday.
I’ve had good results, but it’s really come down to finding a reliable place to buy and a good brand. Personally have been using Mellow Fellow’s carts, and they’ve been the best I’ve had outside of actual weed.
Flower has been harder, admittedly. Knew of one place that had really quality stuff, but they’re pretty much going out of business now and there’s currently no news about what’s being done with their farm.
I’ve tried all of their 4Mg dual-packs. The Picasso and Euphoria stuff. All of them are great combinations, either for swapping off mid session, or if you’re getting burnt out on the one you have running.
That will last me ~3 weeks, give or take a couple days.
I used to have a 32x back in the day, but you know, Sega did what they did, and it didn’t really pan out. I thought the mushroom system was cool tech, but lamented how little value it added to the Genesis. I essentially gave it away....
Do you know what you’re doing?! The risks you’re taking?! That’s too much power in one room! Children died from this! You’re going to be overloaded with Blast Processing!
Sega has a really fun history to research into, from console ideas to their place in the Japanese arcade market.
For a time, they were really innovative, even if most of it didn’t work out the way they had hoped. Just throw it at a wall, see if it sticks.
This is a stupid one, but as a kid, E.A titles always stuck out to me because they had these unique cartridges. They were taller, and had this weird yellow tab on the side. Turns out it was to bypass some restrictions Sega had in place, but as a kid, I just thought it was neat that they looked different. It made me want to get them just to have more cool carts.
Thank you for your adoption of a Gremlin. The standard model enjoys pets, food, high places, wherever is most inconvenient at the moment, and warmth.
From the eyes, it appears you have a C-model. This means it is powered by a secret stash of cocaine you will never be able to find, and may cause zoomies or sudden awareness of any Greeble infestations.
Oh, they’re still milking it. Hardcore. It’s absolutely insane how heavily they have cut things apart into so many different packs and pack types…
So, yeah, if you like Sims, it’s a… Decent way to get your fill, but it’s not worth it to get all the EPs/Stuff Packs/Game Packs/Kits/Whatever. There’s too much, and it’s ridiculously expensive all together.
Definitely worth taking to the seas. There’s a dedicated patcher you can find for cracked copies now, too, so you don’t even have to keep finding updated releases.
Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny will have me dying every time, stoned or not. Though most likely baked out of my fucking mind, because that’s how it’s meant to be watched.
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back will always hold a special place to me as one of Kevin Smith’s funniest, but that’s heavily a nostalgic one for me. I remember being one of 8 people in the local theater the day it opened, my dad pulled me out of school to go see it. Even just seeing the DVD menu makes me grin like a loon.
Have to agree there. It’s very newcomer friendly, even without using the bonus Personas the game gives you.
Also want to recommend Dragon Quest 11. While it has plenty of nods to the older titles, you don’t need to know them to enjoy the meat of the game, and it’s as traditional as they come while being a genuinely fun romp.

Holy shit, Pulp Fiction was done on $8.5 million. That seems absurdly cheap. I honestly figured it would be closer to Ace Venture, cost-wise.
Also The Crow and The Mask having matching budgets surprises me. I always assumed The Mask was a more expensive film given the amount of CG work it needed.
My high school had a rule about the “difficulty” of books you could read. You weren’t supposed to read too high “above your grade”. I assumed this rule was something with the school library and their Accelerated Reader program.
Nope! Tried to give me ISS because I was reading “Screwjack”, which I brought from home. It wasn’t even in class! I was a fucking junior. A high school junior should be able to handle Hunter S. Thompson.
According to them it was “college level” and therefore I shouldn’t be reading it. My father raised absolute hell in that office. Don’t think they tried enforcing that rule again.
They also tried bitching about girls tops until a group of very pissed off redneck fathers had questions about how they were touching the students to measure the width.
I said the same thing about Flat Earthers until I sat and had a conversation with one.
There are people who will believe anything if it’s spoken with enough confidence or fits their world view. Doesn’t matter how crazy it might sound to you or I, it sounds real enough to them.
Sometimes it’s simply undiagnosed mental illness, someone legitimately disassociated from the world who, for whatever reason, can’t get help.
Used to be a dude who hung around the DC Metro stations, talking about how white bread was filled with chemicals designed to poison black people. He could go for hours how it was designed to keep ghettos poor and stupid, but was good for white kids, so they got away with it.
He seemed to genuinely believe it, or was one hell of an actor with the passion he’d put into it.
If it takes longer than 2 days, I’ll probably forget I even ordered it. It does make things exciting, though. It’s like a surprise gift from my past self!

Looking for games with strong female leads for my daughter (even just to watch as I play). Came across this link, but they're a bit age-inappropriate. Any suggestions from the community? (gameranx.com)
Edit: Daughter is only 5 so she’s unlikely to play much but she watches me and as long as it’s not too violent, it should be fine
