I own a pair of QC35II’s as well, I’ll wear them in everything but the heaviest rain. Completely fine for 4 years now.

Only replaced the earmuffs once, 10 bucks for a 3rd party pair online that’s indistinguishable in terms of quality and actually came with a pretty cool looking coloured inside.

Nevermind the nonsensical charging port, that mouse is a great pick for those looking to suffer from carpal tunnel later in life.

Kidnapping someone isn’t nearly as easy as creating AI porn of them is… Dumb comparison.

Microsoft now has implemented "compare with Bing chat" button when you visit Google Bard in Edge (reddthat.com)

When you visit the Google’s chatbot bard’s website in Microsoft Bing. A New Button pops up besides the search bar which lets you compare bard results with Bing chat’s. I have no idea why they implemented this, well maybe to show off the their chatbot is better than bard or something?

They still do. Every single time I visit a google page.

Boycotts don’t work and most big companies are just as bad as Nestle. I can’t be arsed to avoid all of them.

If you want them to change the only way is through legislation.

Turn on sticky keys?

Yes No

Mastodon is definitely a harder sell than Lemmy due to the nature kf following people rather than subjects.

Not to disturb the circus, but with some discipline and mental rewiring it’s not at all impossible to get your dopamine from healthy foods. Exercise is also an excellent source. Fast food might give you effortless happiness quickly, but a healthy lifestyle will be much more beneficial to your well-being in the long run.

There isn’t a singular exercise. Maybe you just need to find the sport that suits you.

Personally I find going to the gym (which I assume to be the exercise you meant) rather unrewarding. I prefer to have some competition. Now I’m addicted to rowing.

I find the streams on sportsurge to either be low quality or prone to connection problems. Someone recommended 1stream . eu to me and I haven’t had buffering issues yet.

I’m sorry but that is grossly untrue. Apple is pretty good at sweeping them under the rug but they’re absolutely no stranger to failed or underwhelming products. Remember AirPower? Or how about Homepod? Ping comes to mind as well. Those certainly didn’t demolish the wireless charger, home assistent or social media industry. Far from it.

Even many more succesful products can hardly be said to have demolished their entire industry. The iPhone might have won over the US, but everywhere else Samsung is king. Windows computers remain far more popular than any Mac. Even Airpods, while very innovative at the time, now have many succesful and often more affordable competitors.

The only spaces I’d say Apple is truly dominant is smart watches and tablets. But even then Garmin makes a better sports watch and 2 in 1 laptops eat into the tablet market.

We just have to wait and see where Vision ends up. In any case, until we can actually experience the device ourselves it is nothing more than a sales pitch.

This is like saying it’s bad for reddit to have too many subreddits. It’s not.

N1cknamed,
@N1cknamed@lemmy.world avatar

There are many subreddits that serve the same purpose as well. They either become their own space with slight differences between their respective communities and rules, or one grows much larger and eventually eats up the other. This is normal, give it time. The advantage that the seperation brings is that if any one instance does a reddit and is no longer usable there can always be another to replace it.

I like how it was originally when there was only gold. It actually meant something, if a comment or post had gold that meant it must be special. Now with all the random nonsense on every single post it's become completely meaningless clutter.

I would not be opposed to adding a feature like reddit gold awards to Lemmy/Kbin. Seems like a fun way to maybe relieve some server costs as well, if the revenue goes to the instance owner.

Same! There are of course a lot of issues and growing pains with the fediverse, but it's kind of exciting. Feels like the wild west internet of old. I am posting this from Lemmy, how cool is that?

Cool to find a Spotify dev here. I agree with your points, and I'm a happy customer. I will happily support Spotify over the likes of Google and Apple, one of the few market dominant tech companies that hasn't been swallowed up by one of the big 5. Not sure how they could be considered a monopoly, it's not like there are songs out there exclusive to Spotify (thank god).

As far as I can tell there is only one big downside to Spotify, and I'm really sorry but I have to use this opportunity to ask, why on earth does it still not support 2FA??

To be honest I’m already growing weary of Discord, they’re adding lots of bloat and unpopular features recently. Infinite growth mentality kills apps like Discord.
