It’s more about the controls than the graphics. Like, GTA San Andreas is probably still my favourite one, but trying to play with the old controls after having played with the new ones is so hard.
All they gotta do is update the controls and it’s all good
$1800/month? That’s fucking insane. Look in to community living groups. I was turned on to it while I was in school (at 35 🤷🏻♂️) as a cheap option while I went back. I know we’ve all had room mate horror stories, but there are people out there who are willing to co-operate and work towards having a home.
Four years on and now I’m running the house (it’s just a rental with lots of rooms) and we have a great group of 5 that’s been together for over a year, including a 9 year old. (Most of us have been together 2 years now, we had a housemate leave amicably last summer).
I’ll admit the first two years were kinda rough. It took me a bit to recognize the red flags I needed to - and to build up the courage to be able to say “no, you wouldn’t be a good fit” to people I’ve known for years. I had some dramatic experiences trying to find the right people, but we’ve got a nice home now and we each pay around $600/month for a whole-ass home!
It does take work; physical, mental, and emotional, but saving $1200/month is worth it. You’ve gotta be able to communicate your needs respectfully and be able to look at yourself and acknowledge where you need to improve to be able to get along with people.
The rewards are worth it. We all work less now so we have weekly dinner and D&D and movie nights and it’s really quite nice. We still bump elbows from time to time, but we all know each other well enough now that it’s easy to solve conflict calmly.
Yeah. If you’re spending $1500 on the brand new iPhone I’m sure an extra $30 to still be able to use your accessories isn’t a big deal.
Just stay a couple years behind on Apple stuff and it’s not that expensive. I got a brand new iPhone 11 for $300 a in 2021 (it released in 2019). I’ll use it for probably four years. In 2025 I’ll probably be buying this year’s model.
Well, we finally got there. An episode where Ahsoka gained agency, made decisions and took hold of the story. For me, this was the first episode this season I thoroughly enjoyed....
I can’t really put my finger on why, but I just don’t like Hera and her kid. Is it just the she-doesn’t-seem-like-general thing? Remember when Leia came back as a general? She was badass, Hera seems like a sarcastic teenager that always gets her way. I just can’t get behind Her. 🤷🏻♂️
All this new force stuff is weird. I think I’m tired of Star Wars in general not being able to decide what the force is and does. Any other franchise I probably would have been like, “whooooooaaaaa cool!” but I was like, “enh. Force does that now? Ok I guess. 🤷🏻♂️”
That being said, it was cool to see Anakin and the Clone Wars flashbacks.
And now I’m confused. Anakin turned to the light before his death, right? So why’s he being a massive asshole to Ahsoka? Is this some kind of post-death inner struggle?
The space whales were mega cool though.
I dunno. I love The Mandalorian and Andor. All the other shows seem to focus on fan service over story.
It’s been the Republican playbook for decades. Get the populace riled up about Satan or Gays or AIDS or now trans people and you can rob them blind while saying it was them.
People want green energy, but the government uses our tax dollars to give subsidies to oil companies and buys them pipelines and RCMP to protect them.
Why do they do this? Because their rich friends pay them to. Fuck the liberals, fuck the conservatives, fuck the RCMP. They only serve the rich.
If we had a real free market economy - or if our governments hadn’t been corporate stooges for the last 50 years - gas would be way more expensive than it already is and the transition to green energy would be much further along.
Veteran tech journalist Walt Mossberg announced on Tuesday he was deactivating his X (formerly known as Twitter) account, saying Elon Musk’s takeover of the site turned it into a “cesspool.”...
Hey Mr. Tech journalist, why don’t you write about federated communities and get off the corpo-web? Help us all out with that big name of yours I’ve never heard.
Edit: oops. That was meant to be a top level comment. Whatever.
Ah yeah I agree with pretty much everything you’ve said. I’d give it a seven though.
I’m not too concerned about there being a place where dead Jedi can talk to the living. Kind of a stretch, but sure.
Same with the random new Sith people.
Feloni is once again trying to fit in between two time periods so I’ll cut him some slack, especially with how poorly handled the sequel trilogy was. I just hope they eventually let him work without the baggage of trying to fix sloppy movies.
I don’t think he’s trying to redeem the sequels, but just make them make sense. There’s a 30 year gap to fill. I think it can be done.
They’re obviously leading up to the cloning of Palpatine in Mando and now Ahsoka is joining Mando in showing how the New Republic botched it so hard that the Empire came back.
He’s also using popular parts of the Legend canon to do it, which will hopefully calm down some of the rabid EU-fans.

Honestly, tow makes more sense to me. Many people helping to tow a rope, or a line, makes it easier so it would be like saying, “get in line and help out.”
The use of “toe the line”, given this context, is more like, “get in line for competition.”
