I would really really really like to have one device on my tailnet as the exitnode for all other devices on the tailnet. However, most VPNs make this really difficult. Is there any way to do this? I’ve read it’s possible with split-tunnelling, but ProtonVPN (which I use) doesn’t support that. I just installed Alpine Linux...
Right that is pretty much clear, but I want this exit node to be running ProtonVPN as well. This however does not seem to be possible (to my knowledge). Edit: This is also why Tailscale added support for Mullvad VPN i assume.
Right, so I’ve got Alpine on the RPI, and have installed/configured protonvpn with wireguard. However, if I then start Tailscale, the already running ProtonVPN connection goes down. Same happens if Tailscale is already running, and I try to start the ProtonVPN connection it will just refuse the connection.
I want it to connect to both services, as then this can act as the exitnode for all other devices on the tailnet. Whilst also giving the benefit of ““being in a different location”” with protonvpn.
So essentially, both services wants to use /dev/net/tun, but only one can.
Quickly wondering what people recommend as OS for a rpi model 4b, outside of the RaspPiOS ofc. I want to use the RPI for all networking related stuff (dont worry its not using an sd-card). So PiHole, and I’ll also want to use it as my exit-node out of my Tailnet. I will also run ProtonVPN on it so that all my devices...
I just installed a cisco vpn. And after installing some required libraries I got the option to get rid of “unused” libraries. So I did ‘sudo apt autoremove’ as suggested. After I rebooted I no longer have a either x11 or wayland in the drop down menu. I can no longer login via the GUI....
To get it out of the way; Obviously, yes this chromium and most of us agree that anything Firefox-like is the way to go. This post is not a “Vivaldi is better than xyz”, this is a, “give it a try” type of post. So, hear me out fellow privacists....
I really don’t know what happened to the previous one, nor do I know who created it (is there a way to check this?) I wouldn’t mind creating a new one though, but not sure if its really necessary if this community exist? I guess it depends on the mods thoughts?
So been trying out Garuda Linux for a while now (my first distro), but feel ready to try another distro. Therefore looking for a distro that suits my preferred requirements, anyone has any tips?...
Believe i read that Garuda Linux in fact say that they recommend against installing flatpaks, which is a little ‘turn-off’ for me tbh as I really like flatpaks. But thanks for the tips, i might try a pure arch install.
Not a programer, but doing a master in Cybersecurity (Digital Forensics), and have previously programmed a fair bit. But yeah, although nix sounds great I’m not quite looking for the steep learning curve quite yet at least. Might treat myself to NIX further down the line 😉
