LethalSmack,

They call that a win/win. Worst case you continue to do business with them and buy what you intended. Best case you do even more business with them!

LethalSmack,

Not really. It sounds like the report was made to copa, not the police, and “Copa announced that officials had not identified any asylum seekers claiming to be victims of sexual misconduct by police officers.”

Add that to the officers not being identified and we have a cover up.

LethalSmack,

The problem is that this isn’t the will of the people. Preliminaries don’t count as an election so your vote for which candidate that appears on the actual ballot is just a suggestion.

The party committees gets final say on who’s on the ballot for that party to vote for.

Which leads to the problem of the 2 party system where we vote for the least worst candidate

LethalSmack,

And that is the problem with the 2 party system. No one votes that way because not enough people do. Instead everyone voted for less bad option between the 2 major parties. Which happen to be the choices the political committee chose, not the people.

LethalSmack,

Not just built in to windows but forced on you in windows.

LethalSmack,

It’s worth noting that the current lightning cable is also limited to usb 2.0 speeds. They’re not making the usb c version any slower than it already is.

As far as public support goes, why aren't disabilities and chronic illnesses treated in a similar manner to LGBT issues?

I’m just curious about this. As someone with a chronic illness, I pretty much never hear anyone talk about things related to the sorts of difficulties and discrimination I and others might face within society. I’m not aware of companies or governments doing anything special to bring awareness on the same scale of say, pride...

LethalSmack,

Part of the reason is what the consequences are.

Being perceived as gay in public? You get beat. Want to marry your partner? Too bad. Want to be able to advocate for your partner when they’re in the hospital? You’re now trespassing cause your not family. Happen to be watching nieces/nephews? Congrats , you’re now a pedo. The list of atrocities goes on.

This has gotten better over the years due to the protests and pride events

Chronic illnesses are generally met with sympathy. I’ve yet to hear of anyone being beat for their illness except for certain cases of tuberculosis and aids.

Not to say this group should be ignored. It just gets lost relative to everything else. Everyone deserves healthcare and it ends up being drowned out by that I think.

LethalSmack,

In a way it has. The fleet of robotaxis blocked traffic due to their low cell service and now the company responsible is washing their hands clean by saying it’s not our problem, it’s the lack of cell service!

So, if at any point, they get less than optimal signal then they’ll put the grid in a deadlock?

Sounds even worse than people protesting to earn a living and get equal treatment

LethalSmack,

It’s in the first paragraph of the article…

“ An 11-year-old boy has told his harrowing story of becoming a victim of Vladimir Putin’s systematic abduction of children from their loving families in one of the conflict’s most heinous war crimes”
