Jerboa is loading pictures extremely slowly, up to 10 seconds per picture. Testing with website and other apps like connect I’m getting much more reasonable load times. Anyone else having this issue?
I know the topic of whether adblock is piracy is debated, but I am guessing there are a lot of adblock users here and I was wondering if anyone has seen the youtube adblock warning message in the wild. I use ublock origin and still haven’t seen it once.
You know, I don’t even comprehend what that means. Quality? you mean 720p?
As long as I can hear it, that’s fine to me, I’m not an audiophile so I really can’t tell the difference and I have cheap $20 headphones and $4 earphones, idk man.
I tried one called Lemmur that I downloaded off F-Droid, however, it can not find this instance (lemmy.world). I want one that’s open-source, and preferably from F-Droid (because screw Google). Which one do you guys use?
I have been using Outlook for the longest time and have tried FairEmail a couple of times and simply deleted it. Tried sticking through it for about a month and I’ll be sticking with it for a good long time now :)
I have been on the edge with twitter and reddit for a while and I have finally deleted my accounts that I have had for a very long time there. They are no longer the places I used to know, even more so with twitter. I am ready for my new time here and on mastodon....
I made a folder with my fav lemmy apps that I tried so far, and they are sorted by favorite to less favorite. By far, wefwef is my most used and I do switch to lifoff sometimes. Also, the official lemmy app is really not bad compared to reddit’s official app. I would say try all of them and see which one works the best for...
I used to pay about $5 for Disney/Star+ for my family but it immediately became a waste, the content was crap and they barely used it.
So then I decided to buy an Android TV box thingy and sideload Stremio, way better than any subscription, they use it all the time. I like it because they see recommendations of shows and movies on their social media and immediately jump into Stremio.
Totally, I set up Stremio on an AndroidTV box for my family and they use it all the time, they don’t miss Netflix anymore. The quality of the movies/shows is great and it doesn’t stutter(90% of the times it doesn’t, for me at least… depends on the file)
But it uses torrents, so maybe that’s a problem for OP?
As another user said you need to install the “torrentio” addon which gives you access to pretty much all the torrents, it has it’s own website. This can be done on Desktop or mobile(Android)
On TV you first have to configure Stremio on a phone or PC with a Stremio account(free) and then sync your addons on Stremio TV with the same account.
A bit tricky and confusing, but it is easy, you can find more compressible tutorials on YouTube
If in the future they make it completely impossible to use ad blockers I’ll just stop actively using YouTube. I hope a good enough alternative comes around.
Sorry if this is not the place, but I’ve seen that pretty much all games from gog-games get flagged by the same vendor, I suppose that is a false positive?

best alternative to revanced?
That preferably allows you to login. I prefer watching videos from my suggestions, not subscriptions. So that’s a must for me....
Are pictures loading slowly on jerboa for anyone else?
