Sips from the Yogscast moved to mostly Twitch, and it sucked all the soul out of his content. I dislike streaming in general, because watching people interact with the randoms in their chat is not entertaining, but it felt especially bad for Sips, since his videos used to have so much effort and personality, but that was all lost on Twitch. I’m sure he’s making more money now, and that’s great, and I’m glad he found a good way to do his career that he’s enjoying, but I just can’t watch him anymore

Even Enterprise was over by the time I was old enough to understand Star Trek, which meant I wasn’t really exposed to any Star Trek games until I was older, but I did play Star Trek Online! So Star Trek Online is my favorite! Lol

Of these, the answer is definitely Solok, but I would like to put forward, Tolaris, the V’tosh ka’tur that assaulted T’Pol in ENT s1e17.

Also, I better not see anyone saying T’Rina. She and Saru are so cute 🥺

Tuvix was on Voyager for a long time. Keeping him sedated that whole time would have been a strange choice

BG3’s crit fails on skill checks drive me crazy. I have failed so many DC 10 sleight of hand checks because of that natural one. Like, easily 1/3, despite it supposedly being a 5% chance

Didn’t Oblivion secretly reboot the Xbox during long loading screens?

Infynis,

Damn, that second one was tough. I didn’t expect to find the word ‘eschew’ lol

Honestly I’m surprised they actually did manage to pull off a Star Trek comedy without appearing to make fun of Star Trek and its fans. But they did. (At least in my view they did.)

It’s because everyone working on the show is also a huge fan

@Infynis@midwest.social avatar

Wait, there actually IS a Rubber Ducky Room? I thought that was just a throwaway line!

That’s corporate talk for “We don’t hire enough staff, and we blame you for that!”

I’m pretty sure he mentions not wanting to risk it in one of the episodes

They can’t speak English though. In fact the scene this screenshot is from is them trapped in the past unable to communicate because their universal translators are offline. I would assume Quark speaks Federation Standard, but apparently that’s not close enough to English to figure out what they’re saying in the 40s

I think one of the classic blunders is just attempting to use a tractor beam. You just know they’re going to send a feedback pulse

It was Pon Farr Night at the Vulcan Night Club on the holographic facsimile of Star Fleet Academy that Species 8472 was using to practice being Federation citizens. I think it makes sense that, if they’re planning to impersonate any Vulcans for any length of time, they’d want to get their agents practice at simulating Pon Farr. Especially if they’re going to simulate it accurately, so the agents will actually have to experience the urges.

You don’t know what I do for mankind. I was your god, even if you couldn’t see it. By killing me, you have doomed yourselves…

Sometimes it’s Neelix as a Ferengi

Infynis,
@Infynis@midwest.social avatar

Yeah, I saw this yesterday, looked up the game, and immediately decided I’d already gotten all the joy out of it that I ever could have. For such a well written and thoughtful series, I can’t believe the game they decided to do was a cookie clicker scam

Infynis,

I didn’t want to point the finger without anything to go on, but my assumption was that it was what Paramount wanted, and not the people actually involved with the show lol

I’m pretty sure that’s a message you’d see on a remote desktop, or Kiosk. Both situations where you don’t usually have access to the power cord either

Infynis,

Are you using the official Star Trek TTRPG? I definitely want to run something with the Lower Decks book for my party at some point. Maybe next First Contact Day

All Vulcans know how to do is be bisexual, eat hot chip, and lie.

Infynis,

Well that explains it. She obviously also plays his lover in another commercial, as well as his nemesis, and also the Folgers QA rep, so he was confused.

I loved Poc and Dar: Cop Landlords. Such a good bit. The semi-subtle anti-cop stuff has been great. Especially showing that the security team on the Cerritos aren’t just space cops. They’re a fully trained and ready crisis response team in a society that keeps a councilor on the bridge crew. Police reform happened!

Infynis,
@Infynis@midwest.social avatar

I loved dumb small subs. It’s really a shame they can’t really exist on Lemmy, at least not yet. I miss MisleadingPuddles

Infynis,
@Infynis@midwest.social avatar

I believe that’s actually a Kiwano, also referred to as the Horned Melon, or the African Horned Cucumber. Durians are huge, and a different color. You see these a lot in Star Trek. Sometimes they’re spray painted a crazy colour.

Also, leola root is just spray painted ginger, I’m pretty sure

Infynis,
@Infynis@midwest.social avatar

Yep. I begged my parents for a RuneScape membership as a kid. Now I pay for my own subscriptions. If someone wanted to buy me a game time card for FFXIV though, I would be far from upset

My foreskin isn’t missing. I know exactly what happened to it. It was KIA

Killed In Action

(As opposed to Missing In Action)

Infynis,

I hope they do an episode where he plays every character they meet. Maybe he can be a character like Mr. Smith from the Matrix that keeps taking over the bodies of everyone they encounter
