Stop conflating two separate issues. If you want to discuss how the Palestinians have accomplished nothing but their own suffering, while having nothing to show for it, then I’m all ears. Ukraine is separate topic that I’m more than willing to discuss but not in regards to the current terrorist attacks that have taken place today all throughout Israel
Israel does not have a charter that calls for the death and destruction of Palestine or Palestinians. Throwing around the apartheid buzzword doesn’t make the Palestinian cause seem smart. It just shows that they have no clue what they’re talking about and just trying to throw labels around. You want peace, you want a better life? Then go to the bargaining table and negotiate, don’t attack. Actually try for a peace and your own self determination. No attack will ever reach any supposed goal of theirs. An attack like this is the most pyrrhic of victories. They only lose more than they gain. It’s just completely moronic, suicidal, illogical, stupid, etc.
You’ve been defending terrorists the whole time. Israel has never taken hostages like the Palestinians have. There’s no end goal in these attacks. Whatever problems the Palestinians have will not be fixed by what they’re doing.
When they stop hurting themselves in their confusion and sabotaging the peace process, then maybe a peace will come. Right now, as it stands, they couldn’t care less for their own self determination, success, livelihood, existence etc. Nothing they do now will accomplish anything.
By now, you may have heard about Elon Musk’s handpicked CEO for X, Linda Yaccarino, and her disastrous interview with CNBC’s Julia Boorstin at Vox Media’s Code 2023 event. However, somewhat overlooked amid some of the more viral moments of the discussion, Yaccarino dropped some previously unknown stats that don’t exactly...
Even the porn is leaving. Multiple porn users/ accounts have stopped posting as well. I have an alt on Twitter just for porn and that has begun to dry up. You can see when the last time they logged on/ tweeted and it’s been weeks. It really isn’t hard to see that Twitter is a sinking ship.
A first-of-its kind law requiring a minimum wage for app-based delivery workers will take effect after a judge rejected the companies’ bid to block it....
A tip is merely subsidizing a company’s inability to pay its employees appropriately. I really could care less seeing Stanley Tang (door dash founder/ owner) gamble (and lose) hundreds of thousands of dollars on hustler casino live playing poker while simultaneously claiming his company can’t pay a living wage.
Learning to rely on Google as little as possible years ago was the best thing that ever happened to me. I learned this lesson/ came to this conclusion after they got rid of Google reader and even home page/ start page. Google reader was the best (still to this day) rss reader ever made. I still haven’t found anything that matches how I had mine set up and its functionality/ usefulness.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many wish to devalue the companies at the same time. Let’s not forget about robinhood also. I can’t wait until reddit IPOs to short the shit out of it. You have to know their valuation is a farce and bullshit. The numbers are totally cooked there.
I don’t know. Twitter running rampant as a nazi platform and safe harbor under Elon’s tenure/stewardship has been something else. That platform was always a mess/ bad but not to the degree Elon has cranked it up to. It’s full blown mania/ hysteria on that platform.
Edit: I miss the days of Twitter when I could’ve used it as my own personal news ticker/ use it to follow sports and my favorite sports reporters. It’s shocking but there are actual uses and use cases for Twitter. It used to not be social media trash.
Not really. They fucked up their business contracts/ reputations and there’s still a massive push to leave them in dust/ past. There’s no undoing how massively they fucked up.
Lemmy’s been wonderful. Like reddit of yore. Like how reddit should be. Like it should still be. Reminder, tell others. The more the merrier. I’ve told tons of people while just being in line at restaurants/ coffee shops when people peer over my shoulder while browsing on mobile. Reddit took mobile away from us (even though I found a way with a patched reddit app but the reddit app is just damn fucking bad. That reddit app is a miserable experience with or ads no ads).
None of the candidates are compelling or inspirational. At least Biden is good at the job and gets things done. He’s fine and competent. All I see on the Republican side are idiots yelling with no solutions or answers. I don’t even think the Republicans could be that bad if they could just get their shit together and actually try to do something for regular folks. People don’t get elevated with Republicans, they get stepped on.
It showed that America, if it is going to keep its greatness, is in desperate need of new politicians or a new generation of politicians. All these people on the debate stage have no clue how hard it is out there right now or what people stree going through. Desperate people need help, solutions, and answers. These debaters/ Republicans aren’t it.
But that’s the thing, even if they’re the VP on ticket, all they’re going to do is sink the ticket further. Voting for any of these buffoons, whether it be locally, nationally, VP or president, is just asinine. They’re all condescending as fuck and they all think we’re too stupid to realize how much they suck. It’s weird, but I miss the days of Bob Dole and McCain.
Convoluted and a mess of a movie. Felt super disconnected from the characters. Amazing world, special and visual effects. Wanted more of that. An absolute treat for the eyes and imagination but just that everything else was generic, lackluster, disappointing, nonsensical, not properly explained or the movie just jumps around willy Nilly and can be confusing to say the least. I really wanted to like it because I love sci fi and we don’t get enough of this sort of thing, but the end result isn’t greater than the sum of its parts. Perhaps a director’s cut is required/ necessary, as it really seemed like good chunks of the movie were missing.
It doesn’t suck and just works. Really well customizable and adblocking/ security is better than what chrome has turned into. Chrome used to be decent but is garbage now. I’d rather use edge before chrome.
In the lead-up to Diablo 4's first season back in July, the game received a patch that was universally unpopular. That feels like an understatement—the community revolt was fierce enough to cause an honest-to-Lilith emergency broadcast where the devs stated: "we don't plan on doing a patch like this ever again"....

Square Enix is no longer square enix. They need to take a hard look in the mirror, like capcom, to see who they truly are or will see the collapse of the company. I fully expect either a Sony or Nintendo swooping in to buy them/ bail them out.
They keep fucking up and putting out/ producing garbage. I’m still pissed about how they ruined the remake.
I’m still laughing at reddit and the ads thing. They pushed me more into blocking all their ads and tracking even harder, and to patch their official app when I had no choice but to go to reddit. Everything they’ve done has backfired as far as I’m concerned.
Sounds like a new industry about to pop up: the secure your vehicle and privacy industry. Just like there’s after market parts and repair, we’ll be needing to go to an expert to rip out all the bs from cars.
Not really. I just patched my app, and the app of others, so it doesn’t display anything nor track anything. Reddit caused themselves way more unnecessary harm and damage/ self inflicted wounds than they should have. That’s all if i/we actually still need to go to reddit for anything. I’ve been purposely avoiding them and their search results and doing fine. The traffic I/we would’ve given them is significantly less.
