The spin at the end is just fluffy bullshit. Starlink, from the get go, has had bandwidth reserved for military operations albeit US military operation but military operations nonetheless. The real question here is how and why did he know that operation was happening and what other operations has he known about/thwarted/or knowingly or unknowingly passed along information about.

Asking the real questions.

To start they probably should not have blown their bosses out of the sky but that’s just like my opinion man.

My point has nothing to do with whether they had cause or not blow him out of the sky. My point is that it’s easier to control a leased dog vs an unleashed. The Wagner mercenary group worshiped the ground their bosses walked on and by murdering him not only do they not want to join the Russian military but now they want payback/revenge on those that killed him.

What they are saying is that Apple is now fine with people repairing their own devices because the cost of the equipment/parts to replace parts in their own devices likely is more expensive than the average Joe is willing to sink into a DIY project, with none guaranteed results, as opposed to just send it to Apple for a repair.
Sure people can now send it to a third party for a fix but if the cost for a repair at a third party shop is marginally lower than an Apple repair, Apple is betting that a customer will likely choose them vs. a third party. Apple will be gatekeepers over NEW replacement parts for their devices so it’s a win win win for them. They win if you buy their parts to replace parts, they win if you take it to a third party and you buy their parts and they win if you take it to Apple for service and repairs.

The dude has always seemed so smarmy to me so hearing this really isn’t that surprising. I’m happy they’re getting their comeuppance but doubt it will be as much as they deserve.

“Paid for by a totally independent research grant not provided by a corporation with an axe to grind against work from home.”

    Fuck off with this bullshit.

Edit* People are downvoting this because you’re giving propaganda a platform, “don’t shot the messenger”, don’t post corporate sponsored garbage unironically.

I see it as a signs of problems to come. Being a Mod sucks, the only reason most hung around was that they were passionate for the subs they moderated. Replacing moderators at first might be easy but I believe, with time, the turnover rate will increase linearly thus causing a massive drop in quality content as time progress. Thus causing a feed back loop of less good users, less good content and more shit users, more shit content, culminating in the slow and painful death Reddit.

That same provocateur will probably then say that someone’s father also smelt of elderberries!
