Grabthar,

I think the idea is that you will not necessarily choose near zero carbon alternatives such as cycling to work or buying an electric car. Those simply won’t work for most for a variety of reasons. But by bumping the price of gas, it makes people who can’t or won’t choose an alternative very aware of the cost of going anywhere, and causes many to drive more sparingly by carpooling, waiting until they have multiple reasons for trips or choosing not to go out every weekend. For those with deep pockets it is probably little more than an annoyance that won’t change their behaviour, but increasing fuel prices works very well to curb overall demand.

Grabthar,

My parents still have it! Always a favourite when visiting.

Grabthar,

Mr. Beast sending up a trial balloon?

Grabthar,

Galaxy S5. Waterproof and a replaceable battery. It is easily possible to do better a decade later.

Grabthar,

Me too. I once opened vim in my kitchen and couldn’t get back out for a month.

Grabthar,

What a pain. They finally ended this in Canada at the end of 2017. All phones sold since then have to be sold unlocked. Any phone sold before that time is likely still locked to a carrier, but that carrier must provide the unlock code for free upon request. Feels like they did this one right, and it is great to be able to keep an old flagship device for 5+ years and travel with it or move services around as needed.

Grabthar,

And now, crew, one more time!

Grabthar, (edited )

It reminded me of the GI Joe LAW lol

Grabthar,

Finally, someone who can wear the Reeboks with the straps and the boots with the fur!

Grabthar,

So have a drive for work and one for play. Bill the laptop to work but spec it for what you want at home.

Grabthar,

They better get sued by the original owners in turn. And then those owners will sue the government so we can pay again. The circle of jerk.

Grabthar,

Damn, I played the crap out of this game as a kid. Still remember the first time reaching the Stardock and being wowed by how big it was. But the coolest thing was when I figured out you could escape during the invasion with the 50 tonne Chameleon from the training school.

Grabthar,

Mose turned into a real bastard.

Grabthar,

I was a little disappointed when Delissio left Canada, since it was decent for frozen pizza, but now that it’s gone, I see stores carrying Red Baron, which is much better! I doubt there is room for such drastic improvement in tissues, but maybe this will introduce a better new competitor as well.

Grabthar,

Only if the place you are renting was built before 2018.

Grabthar,

I thought it was putting grandma on speed dial

Grabthar,

Hope they changed the combination on that airshield.

Grabthar,

I have a handbanana stuffed toy somewhere downstairs. Perhaps I will go find it. Tonight.

Grabthar,

It does? The list starts in 1993, when Doom came out. Everyone played it, but I have never even seen a purchased copy. That might impact a lot of PC game sales, and explain why the list is dominated by console titles.

Grabthar,

“What could go wrong?” - Les Nessman

Grabthar,

On the plus side, it’s a glide rather than a powered flight, and it’s apparently rarely done.

Grabthar,

I didn’t see these until I was 10 or so, when we moved further south. They were equal parts cool and horrifying, but they made my mother uncomfortable. So she would call the kids out to mash them if she saw one. Became a regular service. We even drew up a logo for it at one point - a kind of cartoonish earwig with the no symbol around it.

Grabthar,

Sadly, most 80s cartoons sucked, but the toys were, and are still, outstanding. That’s probably why we attach such good memories to watching the show along with our buddies Sly Rax and Hondo McLean.

Grabthar,

Sinkhole 3! This time it’s personal.

Grabthar,

I think it wants to know if I have any games on my phone.
