All phones risk cracking a screen if you drop it. It isn’t a guarantee that will happen. If you football spike your phone into the street and expect it not to break extensively you are an idiot.

What are you doing with your phone that makes durability the main thing that makes it better?

My 14 pro was heavier. It’s great to know it was a tank, but I don’t treat my phones like shit so why should I care about that so much?

Also they didn’t get pricier this year, did they? I recall paying the same this year vs last year.

The braided cable that ships with the phone is a nice touch. Upgraded from 14 pro to 15 pro so as soon as I put it in the case it’s basically the same phone but slightly lighter.

The silent icon next to the time annoys me but you do need some sort of indicator with the switch being removed.

There are tons of clear cases that advertise as non-yellowing on Amazon. I just ordered a Ringke case for less than 15 bucks.

Squabbles is pretty good if you use the Pulse app, but I get more of a The Chive vibe from there rather than Reddit. Plus they don’t allow NSFW there so meh.

Kbin and Lemmy seem the most promising but time will tell.

Looking forward to the Artemis app. The Kbin PWA is ok, but having something more polished will make it so much better.

Apollo was by far my most used app so that’ll be great once we have something similar for kbin.

I like that it has the NSFW toggle, but I thought Apple had an issue with that being in the app. IIRC that was the reason Apollo didn’t have an NSFW toggle in its settings.

It’s hilarious to me that they are telling subs that they can’t just switch the NSFW button on like that, after they recently made the vape communities go NSFW against their will.
