Friendzone.

Let's make a love triangle between link, ganon and sidon!

Considering Gabe is ex-microsoft and wants to distance himself as much as possible from them, I highly doubt that’d work, he’d go down fighting at the very least.

ampersandrew,
@ampersandrew@kbin.social avatar

No need to go down fighting. Valve is a private company. They can just say no.

The Steam Deck and other handheld PCs also rocks for emulation, not only for light indie games.

Here is a part of the article which bugs me a byte:

By nearly all objective measures, the ROG Ally is better than the Steam Deck. It has solid battery life, a nicer screen, more power, and Windows 11

Having Windows 11 on the device is not an objective measure to be better. If anything, this is a subjective matter. In my opinion Windows is far worse as an operating system for a handheld PC (or any PC at all). Sure you have more games to play with, but the usability and customization sucks, plus Microsoft is spying on you.

No, fascists (which TERFs are) should not be allowed to fester here.

Best not to let it fester

For every Daryl Davis who can successfully talk down 100 Klansmen, you'll find 100 Black people begging for their lives trying to reason with the Klan in their last moments. For every thought of "I can fix them!" that you may have, you have to weigh that against how many more people you'll need to fix if you platform their ideas and treat them as something worth "respectfully debating".

Convincing people to leave hate groups is a great thing to do, but if respectful debate were effective on the large scale, and we have no shortage of people respectfully arguing that hate is a bad thing, why is the far right a bigger threat now than it was ten years ago? Do not tolerate the intolerant, do not debate the undebatable, do not respect the unrespectable.

Chetzemoka,

The magazine's rule #1: NO BIGOTRY omfg I can't 🤣🤣🤣🤣

AccmRazr,

Look at this clown! First, they came out saying they weren’t even fans of the material. You have Henry Cavil in the lead role who is a super fan of the source materials arguing with you and the writers about the show. And then you finish it off by blaming the audience for your decisions. Mind you, the audience you have ultimately attracted is largely influenced by the decisions you have made throughout the production of YOUR show. The audience didn’t make this show, YOU did

When it flops they’ll blame Americans too. Narcissists are incapable of assuming responsibility for their own failures.

“we want to make more money so we dumbed down the plot to idiot level and blame it on americans being dumb. Also we changed everything to be more emotional because that’s what tiktoks kids want, more emotion and less plot or something”

Guy sounds like a twat.

The games and books seemed to do just fine in America lol

If you're the executive producer, it's your fault that your team members fucked it up. If you cannot find a competent writer to properly express nuance on the screen, it's still your fault. You hired the wrong person to adapt the books. You are the boss, the final say, the one-ass-to-kick when things go wrong. The Witcher is not some nuanced story about regional distinctions in low-visibility communities told in short form, which seems to be his only acclaimed experience, followed by several production failures.

This entire interview comes down to "those lazy zoomers don't know how to appreciate good film." From the description of his past, massive failures it appears to be a problem with his process and ability, not an audience problem.

Reddit beats film industry, won’t have to identify users who admitted torrenting (arstechnica.com)

Film companies lost another attempt to force Reddit to identify anonymous users who discussed piracy. A federal court on Saturday quashed a subpoena demanding users' names and other identifying details, agreeing with Reddit's argument that the film companies' demands violate the First Amendment....

vettnerk,

2011, though… what are the statutes of limitations for piracy?

Also, huzzah

Also, fuck u/spez

GeekFTW,
@GeekFTW@kbin.social avatar

The mental-defectives running these film companies never astound me with the utter stupidity they try to commit to.

Skipcast,

What’s the point if the game is already always online? Sounds like throwing money in the ocean.

Unaware7013,

It's not about what their kids can read, they don't want anyone's children to read them. The entire point is to limit the perspectives available to children so they don't grow up seeing LGBTQIA+ people as people who deserve rights like """""normal""""" (in their mods) people get. They want them to go back into the closet where they don't have to think about or, dare I say it, admit to themselves that they are interested in those """"""yucky"""" behaviors.

These people freak out over the increase in LGBTQIA+ identification, as if people didn't previously feel this way, they were just too scared to say anything because they didn't want to end up like Matthew Shepard.

@euphoria@kbin.social avatar

this is certainly very very worrying. this sort of behavior has to be handled some way or another. @ernest.

honestly, someone like that has already shown they would not make a good moderator, they mass banned over something so petty and small, i don't think it would be unreasonable to revoke their ability to make mags for some time (or indefinitely) and give his mags to someone else who is more mature. he already swiped up some big name mags, do we really want someone like that running popular magazines? no.

edit. honestly fuck it, this deserves to be called out. @Deliverator, this is unacceptable and very childish behavior. you should not be running magazines. reconsider your behavior and grow up, please.

edit. looks like we may not have the full story here. @Deliverator, we would very much like to hear your side and your reasoning for this.

edit. i noticed some people have gone and mass-downvoted Deliverators posts, PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS. do NOT stoop to that level, do NOT contribute to the problem of mass-downvoting, even if the other person has done it, or you are no better and have no right to criticize it.

Biden signs historic order moving prosecution of military sexual assault outside chain of command (www.cnn.com)

President Joe Biden on Friday ordered a historic change to the Uniform Code of Military Justice by transferring key decision-making authorities outside the military chain of command in cases of sexual assault, domestic violence, child abuse, murder and other serious crimes.

Ok, so in the next few days, I'll be testing some things. It might be a bit worse for a while, but it will definitely speed up the problem-solving process. I'll be grateful for any feedback. I'm unable to reproduce it in local/testing environments, so it might be an issue with the cluster.
