Is a plex subscription worth it?

I want to unlock the ability to view content on my mobile device. I can do that with a one-time purchase (payed with google opinion rewards) or with a subscription. I want to unlock the ability for my entire family though, across multiple devices. Do I have to pay the “one-time payment” for every device? If so, the plex...

I'm not sure. I remember I was waiting for it to go on sale when I needed it, and it happened pretty quickly. But I don't know if it happens at any set intervals.

Same goes for the Reddit redesign. People have been up in arms about new Reddit ever since it's been introduced.

I'm pretty sure they'd be much less up in arms if the new version didn't suck as much as it does, though. Same probably holds true for the redesigns that were introduced for Youtube and Facebook.

That's not an entirely valid comparison in that the other platforms that got redesigned don't give the end-user the option to still use the old design. Chances are that if they did, a lot of people would stick to the old design there as well.

Duckduckgo uses search results from Bing, combined with other search engines and their own bot if Wikipedia is to be believed.

No Google search results are used.

Do you use the swipe to type feature on your phone? (kbin.social)

Is this how most people type on mobile these days, drawing lines all over a keyboard instead of tapping the individual keys? I've never had an iPhone so I don't even know if they can do this natively, but I know you can switch keyboards at least, so it should still be an option if not.

Hottest was around 50°C, which was surprisingly bearable but I do like warmth, so there's that.

Coldest around -10°C, and hated every second of it. Cold is my arch nemesis.

To be fair, there’s also a large quantity of younger drivers that would benefit from this idea. You see some weird things happen in traffic sometimes, and bad driving skills are not exclusive to the elderly.

Android. I have an ipad and I hate how restricted you are in iOS. There’s no (official) sideloading of apps (yet).

Browsers suck hard. Everything is basically Safari with a skin. I wish I could get Firefox with full extension support.

I feel like I’m constantly battling the OS when I want to do something that seems really simple.
Case in point: you cannot remove photos from your photostream (or whatever it’s called).
You can add them to albums, sure, but they will also stay in the main feed. I want to move them and unclutter my feed.

And finally, and this might be an unpopular opinion, but I don’t think iOS is intuitive at all. I constantly have to google how to do things, only to often find I simply can’t, or not easily at least.

I like playing the guitar and I also enjoy video games.
Surprisingly enough I have a soft spot for MMORPGs, but I tend to play them solo. I just enjoy the grind, I suppose.

Other than that, I think going for walks in nature is pretty nice, too.
