The Wall Street Journal reported that Meta plans to move to a “Pay for your Rights” model, where EU users will have to pay $ 168 a year (€ 160 a year) if they don’t agree to give up their fundamental right to privacy on platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. History has shown that Meta’s regulator, the Irish DPC, is...
The thing is, using Facebook isn’t a right. They can charge for whatever, whenever, however they want. You agree to this when you sign up/access the site. You have the choice not to use it.
That’s what gets me with these comments/complaints. (Not trying to be mean). You don’t have to use facebook/Twitter/instagram etc. And the fact that people keep using these kinds of websites is beyond me, especially when they try to pull this kind of bs.
Still doesn’t make it a right just because you feel forced into it lol. And yes, there are other alternatives out there, they just might not be very popular…
Yes this would only be in the US. I should’ve put that in one of my earlier comments… thanks for the clarification. Also, while we are at it, I should add do your own research too. I am just a rando and this is my general understanding of how shit works over here. Laws could even vary on state level that I’m not aware of too.
“They” is in reference of the user LiveLGNProsper… Now, do either of you know how to use context? Or are you just trying to make lame jokes?
“Either of you” is in reference of the user prole and you.
“You” is in reference of you, bizzle.
Now that I (BenderOver) GAVE you (bizzle) the context, are you (bizzle) capable of answering my (BenderOver) questions (the string of words with the ‘?’ at the end?)? Or do you (bizzle) need more of a dumbed down explanation..? I (BenderOver) am here for you (bizzle). Just let me (BenderOver) know.
You do know, just because tHe MeDiA said this would be over by Christmas, doesn’t mean it will? This is war. It doesn’t resolve itself in days or weeks. The US has funds set up till at least 2032, if I recall correctly, for Ukraine.
We’ve noted a few times how the political push to ban TikTok is a dumb performance largely designed to distract people from our failure to pass even a basic internet privacy law or regulate data brokers. We’ve also noted how college bans of TikTok are a dumb extension of that dumb performance, and don’t accomplish anything...
It DOES stop that on a college network level. Maybe not per the individual… but that’s not the point anyway. The college/university doesn’t care that their students use the app. It cares that you are using it on their servers/devices because they view it as a vulnerability to their network.

I think most people have 1tb of storage space and not much else. Most games these days are well under 100gb. In that respect, it’s kind of ridiculous to have one game take up 1/10th of your storage. I doubt most gamers are going to see those high res textures anyway.
Your point is valid though, too. Games are only increasing in size. I already have 5tb total in my PC but would need more space to install this particular game (I have a lot of games lol). I don’t have a problem upgrading but I don’t think a lot of people the money to buy a $70 plus a good HDD/SSD. Just my thoughts on this.
What infuriates me the most is my tax payer money paying for Ukrainians to have sex. Why can’t that money help me have sex? Absolutely crossing the line here.
