Still waiting for something as basic as group tabs.
The current implementation in Chromium-based browsers is miles ahead of what any add-on can do in Firefox.
They need to get their shit together.
Edited below. I imagine many of us are here from reddit, where hashtags weren't really a thing and in many places mentions were actively discouraged (/r/politics I'm looking at you). However, since everything we post or comment on kbin (and lemmy) has the potential of getting federated on a mastodon server, which leans heavily...
When you create a new thread (in Kbin), you can apply tags to it before posting.
Are these tags doing the same thing as hashtags, or are they more like the ones in Reddit?
I currently use Android and I'm happy with it.
I'm not a tinkerer by any means, but I do enjoy a fair bit of third-party apps.
The lack of side-loading in iOS is the deal breaker for me, but should this be added, I would 100% try it out.
Yea, that would be great.
Though I've also heard they plan to keep it EU-only for compliance.
I hope it doesn't go like that and the feature gets enabled globally.
Disgraced sports doctor Larry Nassar has been stabbed multiple times during an altercation with another inmate at a federal prison in Florida. Nassar is serving decades in prison after admitting sexually assaulting athletes at Michigan State University and at Indianapolis-based USA Gymnastics, including Olympic medalists.
When the whole Reddit fiasco started happening, I saw a lot of people wiping and deleting their Reddit accounts and moving elsewhere, like here on Lemmy....
Kbin is a different software than Lemmy, although similar.
It has only been around a few months (unlike lemmy that has years in development).
It offers what seems to me a more centralized view of the fediverse, with federation to lemmy servers and mastodon servers as well.
It has access to the microblogging feature, that is like sending a toot from mastodon.
I've found it to be a more familiar experience to Reddit, and honestly, I prefer it over lemmy.
Due to it being so new, it has many missing features lemmy might have, like mobile apps (the API is still not public, and it's being worked on).
HOWEVER, Kbin has a great community backing it up.
I'm currently posting this from the amazing Artemis beta app for Kbin, the first of its kind.
This is due to the incredible job @Hariette has done!!
I came back for DF after leaving at the end of WoD. I used to play a pally healer and loved it.
I tried healing again, and while I was still good at it, I felt so much stress it was not fun at all.
Because of that, decided to switch to tanking instead and just chill.
The original /r/piracy was purposefully gimped because Reddit received DMCAs for any random thing and didn't even bother to follow up. Since we're in new waters, I want things to be a bit more relaxed, but there's a limit on how relaxed we can be, without starting to get lawsuits, which I will not be able to fight off. I also...
I remember not too long ago (before the discord server went kaput, for other reasons) Sin Eater's Cove discord server posted all links encrypted, and they had a cool bot that could message you the decoded link privately.
Maybe a future bot here could do the same.
But for now posting the encrypted links would be good, just as an extra layer of protection.
I think it's a healthy standard practice to implement when sailing high seas.

How it going here? I'm looking forward to helping fuck up Reddit's IPO.
Done with Reddit’s bullshit, and happy to check this out as it seems to be popular. Any apps that people would recommend for this platform?
Should we be using hashtags and mentions more? (kbin.social)
